I really like the contrast between his skin, the pants, and the background. But because of this you have to do a double take to see that his hand is in his pocket. (At first glance it looks like he's missing it.)
Otherwise, the lighting and filtering is really well done. The bright spot on the right side of the image keeps it balanced.
