I never played the game, but I've watched a few walkthroughs and IΒ heard that failing the doll room won't effect the good ending if the IbΒ & Garry bond is high enough and the doom counter is low or at zero.

Unfortunately as far as I know it does effect the ending. You can't the the good/true ending if you fail the doll room, the 'best' ending you can get after failing the doll room is Memories Crannies.Β
