i never understood why they made the locust queen look hot..

The Locust can speak decent English (or other human language)and they certainly seem to function a lot like us.....
From a strictly biological standpoint, if the Locust Queen was compatible with humans or even WAS human I wouldn't be surprised and it would help them survive.
I haven't played the third installment or read any of the books but the Locust seem to strike me as some cross breed of humans and some other species or a corrupted offspring
