Cid Highwind from Final Fantasy VII.Back in 1997 when Final Fantasy VII was released everyone felt in love with either Cloud or Sephiroth.
I felt in love with Cid XD.
I guess I was the only one XD.
It was love at first sight since he said:
"sit yer ass down in th' chair and drink yer %$@&# damn tea!"
Omg...what a man! XD
I love him still now and I owe at least one fanart to him.
This one is about his great dream: to fly to the outer space.

I've always loved the dragoon-esque characters in FF games automatically, but Cid was just so different from most other game characters I'd encountered at the time, I fell in love right away. (Plus everyone loves a guy who works hard for his dream, no matter how impossible or faraway it is. Also spears and jump abilities for the win.)

I loved him , too. XD he was just damned funny. also, I didn't like Sephiroth or Cloud too much (just cloud's shirt <3), i love Vincent... can't help it..

he was an awesome dude. I liked all the characters for one reason or another, but I actually fell in love with Nanaki(Red XIII to all the uncultured people*lol* ). Some kids we woulda had, eh?*lol* My team was always Cloud, Vincent, and Nanaki. Who did you use?
oh, and there were two reasons I liked Cid. 1) the aforementioned 'sit your ass down and drink your goddamn tea!' and 2) one of his limit breaks HE LIGHTS A STICK OF DYNAMITE FROM HIS CIGARETTE.
I work at a games store, and I hear they're remaking VII soon o.o I can't wait!!! at the very least, we have FFXIII to look forward to soon, that one's confirmed that they're working on it. stupid game people being secretive about VII.

I liked every character in the game, that's really rare.... O_O.
Anyway my team was Cloud, CID (always) + Tifa/Red XIII.
But lately, playing again the game, I started to use Yuffie and Vincent instead of Tifa and Red.ΓΉ
I hate that Tifa's last weapon is broken -___-.... if not, I would use her.
Are they really doing a remake??????? 
....

like I said, it's just rumors, but it's rumors in all the relevant magazines(Game Informer, PSM, and one or two others I can't remember atm). Really, it wouldn't take that long to redo. And if you look at release lists, they're remaking the original Tomb Raider right now(coming out end of this month I believe, as Tomb Raider Anniversary)and that would've actually taken more time, since Lara can interact with her environments more than Cloud and crew ever did...I think Squeenix knows that if they don't remake VII, or they remake it badly, there'll be rioting; so that's why they're putting off any kind of solid announcements.
And you'll have to be in line before me!*lol*
