Description
I'm still busy, but since it is Pokemon's 20 anniversary this week I decided to draw a quick picture of my first pokemon.
I remember when the first games where new.... I'm geting old. _ _;.

I kind of of count both Charmander and Pikachu as my first pokemon.
But technically, the first pokemon I ever got was Pikachu.
I was around eight or nine years old when I played my first pokemon game and it was the Yellow version.

However, the game I had wasn't able to save any data, so every time I wanted to play pokemon I had to start a new game xD.
Therefor I could never get very far in the game before the batteries died.

The game cartridge actually contained a collection of many random games beside pokemon yellow.
My brother had been given the game by some relative that had bought it aboard and I remember that
some of the games was even in Japaneses.

Also, Pokemon yellow wasn't released in Europe until summer 2000.
Even if I don't remember the exact year I first played it, I can almost swear I used to play it before then.
Around 1998 or 1999. But I'm not sure. Either way, that game probably an unlicensed one.
I don't know why, but I used to nickname the Pickachu Raichu for some reason.
Since I barely knew any English at the time I couldn't understand what was said in the game,
so I pretty much just walked around and talked to characters until I got it right. I also didn't know that I
could skip nicknaming the Pokemon or that I could run from wild ones. XD
Also, I thought the rival (Blue) was a girl, lol.
My second pokemon was Charmander in Pokemon Red and it remain one of my favorite starter even to this day.
I liked Bulbasur and Squritle as well, but Chamander was more appealing to me since it would turn into fire breathing lizard eventually.

After getting my own Game Boy color I was given Pokemon Red as a birthday gift. This was also the first pokemon game I was able to play to the end. Therefor, I kind of count CHarmander as my real first starter since it was the first pokemon I was able to finish the game with.
