Would u mind if I use this for part of a tat?thinking about using something like this with a music g clef or note. Maybe some kinda sword as well.if anyone can help would be much appreciated. Would be my 1st tattoo and is going on my pelvic/lower abs. Thanks

I Have this star as a tattoo.... I found this picture years ago and decided it had to be my mine. It was my first tattoo. And It turned out amazing.

Hmm, this is done be me! I've got the original sketches from the mid 90s, then I vectorized in 2005 when I learned how to do that. I don't mind if someone uses or alters my stuff, but if they're making money of the original art it kind of pisses me off.
Is it possible for you to scan the flash and send it over? That and whatever contact info would really be appreciated.

sorry honey i bought them from ebay all i know is they came from illinois (i dunno how to spell it im not american lol) im not using the flash anyway coz it is actually very poor quality flash as if someone has just sketched some stuff and sold it as is.
dont worry im sure if anyone else has bought that flash page they wont be using it either coz it is just rubbish.

I'm originally from Sweden but live in Norway since 2 1/2 years. Trying to make my living as an engineer which workad out pretty good so far. The pictures here on DA are more of a hobby which i'll hopefully pick up again some day.

well i was born in northern ireland i now live in glasgow,scotland
i actually work in a restaurant the tattooing is a hobby for me too 
i paint a lot of canvases iv had a few exhibitioned but im hardly a professional 
i would never have guessed you were from a nordic region of the world your english is incredible

Hi IRew,
I like the star, I love the sharp pointy look and the tribal lines set it off nicely. I have been the past 8 months deciding on my next tattoo and I think this star will be it.
Thats if you dont mind?
The reason I have been hesitant is that i have tried to design some beams or rays coming from behind the star getting wider and washed or fading as they move away, with maybe stars, clouds or tribal in them. But I am no artist.
My tattoo will be on my right bicep and all black and grey.
I would love your help, do you have any thoughts???

Hey Reggie!
I'm glad you like the star, and I don't mind at all if you use it. When it comes to the beams and rays I can see where you're going, but that sort of design isn't really on my strong side. I'd suggest that you sit down with a tattoo artist an discuss it, he/she will probably have some good ideas what will or will not work. Use the star as a basis and modify it any way you see fit.
And there's no hidden meaning in the star, just a pretty picture I drew some 10-15 years ago

I actually still get a bit confused when I look at this. The knot in the middle together with the "straightness" of the star can sometimes look a bit odd to me. But most of the time it all makes sense.

Well, I think the design works very well. Maybe you could redesign it so the knot in the middle is a little more polygonal. Still, I think it's a very original star.

i could see this looking really girlly if there was colour. like maybe instead of filling it in with all black, you could have some star dust with some kewl spacey colours like blue and purple. but i dunno, it'll probably take away from the tribal/celtic knot look of it all.
either way this is one of the better star designs i've seen, and i've been looking up TONS of stuff on stars, as me and my family would like to get one on our necks.
