another pic of Arlecchina & HarleQ...
the ballon idea is quite old, but I am trying a new style for Arlecchina's design. more manga-like I hope.
-------background story-------
here you can see Arlecchina encouraging her mom to take a trip on a star (star Arle had caught previously and kind of tamed, it is a 'lil known fact but stars are quite easy to catch if you know where and when to ambush them...stars are quite fond of dancing so they have huge gatherings, once you see them dancing the easiest way to catch one is to put your chosen one K.O. by hitting her [all stars are girls] on her head, preferably with a ripe pinapple, of course whoever try this must be very strong as Arlecchina is 'coz she is a demon; now in this particular case, the season was not propice to pineapples so Arle used a dictionary-which I will miss a big deal- so the star had a 'lil scratch on her head, but she is ok now and bears no grudge about that 'coz Arle did it to make her mom happy; for a demon who feasts on broken hearts Arle is quite emotive....I wonder if that is why noone went to search her when she went missing) HarleQ is safe 'coz the star has been anchored with a silver spoon (as adviced by here: [link] ) and NO! I DID NOT STOLE HER IDEA! THE FLYING WITH BALLOONS & STARS IDEA HAS BEEN AROUND FOR QUITE A LONG TIME so much it is almost cliché.
