It was made digitally. I rendered clouds, played around with some effects, and then added a texture on top.

Awesome. Wish my brush testing looking as neat haha good job the texture changed a lot from the original. Really like this it reminds me of the fractals even though it's not technically I think.

Thanks a bunch! I think this is what a time-stream would look like, too. A Tardis appears in my head when I see stuff like this. As for the filters, I can't be completely sure, but I think I used polar inversion, twist, bulge, and zoom blur. ^^
