Guess who guys!
Ahhh I'm so happy with how this came out, it took me ages, but I can honestly say I'm really happy with the result!
I tried to incorporate her alt-mode much more, a white 2-door Jeep Wrangler (hard top)

Also, if you guys haven't yet seen Crimson's Design Tutorial . I very very highly recommend it, it's absolutely fantastic and helped me immensely with this design!

[ Personality ]
Nyx is a resilient person, having gone through a whole host of problems in her life, she knows how to weather a storm. She's not the type to give up easily and this quickly leaks into stubbornness, she values respect from those around her and therefore has a tendency to believe that if she backs down, she will lose credibility and respect. Nyx has a tendency to opt for a position of leadership and due to living with cybertronians as a human, she has learned that in order to get herself noticed, she needs to stand strong and not to back down. Evidently this can have some issues, sometimes backing down is the best way forward and stubbornness can mean one is closed to new ideas. For the most part, Nyx's generally tactful nature this keeps these traits in line, she'll listen to the ideas of others so long as they're presented in a respectful manner but she's sensitive to disrespect and this can lead her to disregard an idea even though it might be a good one. In addition, this experience around large cybertronians has caused her to overcompensate in some areas, especially coming across overly forceful or abrasive when she feels anyone is reacting disrespectfully or stubbornly. She'll become much less accommodating, aiming to match or surpass whatever hostilities she's shown and while she usually does this in a calm and levelled manner, this doesn't always help to diffuse arguments. Often times Nyx doesn't even aim to defuse but to win.

She is, for the most part, a calm and responsible individual. Having been quite independent from an early age, she has always been quite mature, a trait built upon after she met the cybertronians and was paired with Ace. The silver mech being quite childish and fickle, Nyx immediate slipped into a mediating temperament which was to be a responsible influence and help moderate his behaviour, keeping him from getting into trouble. As time went on, she embodied this role further and further, eventually coming into some sort of leadership position in which she thrived. She has a controlling nature and a such, she doesn't always take well to other authorities and can become quite defensive if she feels her people or 'territory' are being threatened. With a strong sense of responsibility, she feels like she has to be the one to take care of everything and everyone and thus she tends to try to maintain an image of being in control, establishing this by attempting to make sure she knows what is happening at all times.

Despite the negatives of her personality, Nyx has also fostered a friendly attitude and one of acceptance towards others. She has a tendency not to take one's badge or affiliation as demonstrative of their character and will give them a chance regardless. Despite this, she isn't as naive as Ace is and while she is more than willing to give people a chance, she always makes sure she takes precautions in case they're not quite as they seem. Nyx is a perceptive individual, a trait fostered by her bond with Shatter who often attempts to teach her to notice the little things that others don't. As a result, she can quite often sense a change in the mood or when something isn't being told to her in full, paired with an empathetic nature, the ability to sense and understand the emotions of others, she can often tell when something is wrong and along with a generally level-headed and calm demeanour, she's a good one to talk to when someone has a problem. Despite this open and friendly demeanor, Nyx is often seen as evasive or defensive on certain topics, especially where her family, life before cybertronians and her organic half are concerned. She doesn't like talking about them and will quickly try to avoid the topic if it were to arise, if this evasiveness doesn't work, she'll quickly become defensive, prone to snapping and coming off more harshly than she might have intended.

Just a disclaimer. Yes I know a lot of this history is very cliche and while human, Nyx could be considered
to have mary-sue-like tendencies. I did create this character many years ago when I didn't know any
better and these traits and tendencies have become in many ways, integral to her story and character
which is why they haven't changed even at this point. The making her cybertronian was yes, cliche,
but it was intended to get rid of those mary-sue traits, which it has done, with Nyx being far more
balanced in the physiological sense.

During the War
Nyx's life began as quite an ordinary human. She had two parents who loved her dearly, but being often tight on money, both worked long hours, hardly ever being home. The stress took a toll on their relationship and when they were home, the time was often spent fighting and arguing. The two often didn't have enough time to give to their child ironically not giving her what she desired while they worked do hard to create a better life for them all. So Nyx learned independence from an early age. Despite the turmoil at home, she managed to keep her grades more or less a steady average, that was, until she reached high school. Starting there, she'd managed to antagonise the school bullies whom, from that day on, made sure to target her, attempting to isolate her from others through a series of cruel 'pranks'. It steadily broke her down despite every attempt to stand up to them and to fight back.

This went on for some time until, like always, things changed. Nyx was walking home from class one night when she was followed closley by a truck. Believing it was just some creep trying to scare her, she raced into the bush reserve between the street and her house, however she didn't expect the truck to come after her, but this time standing on two legs as a humanoid robot. The thing quickly caught up and grabbed her, snarling about something called an 'allspark' and being an 'Autobot sympathiser'. Nyx, not knowing what was going on and in shock, couldn't respond with anything and the robot began to get impatient, squeezing her body, near crushing her just as someone else intervened. Nearly passing out, Nyx wasn't in a condition to notice the black and silver robot who'd made a sudden appearance, barralling into her attacker and freeing her from him. Waking up much later, the black and silver robot introduced himself as Accelerate, explaining they were Cybertronians, fighting a war between Autobots and Decepticons. Nyx also discovered that the unassuming stone she'd bought at a little market stall when it caught her eye, was actually a temporary housing for part of the Allspark, some of the power had been stolen by a group of Decepticons before the Allspark was jettisoned to Earth.

Ace, being tasked to protect the shard until the rest of his team reached Earth, the two began to spend a lot of time together, becoming fast friends as both needed a companion and both filled the void for the other. Eventually the team reached Earth, and Nyx managed to convince them to take her with them, altering her appearance to avoid being caught. The team travelled around the country for quite some time, keeping on the move as not to let the Decepticons get a good fix on the shard's location. Over this time, Nyx began to grow as an individual, taking on a more mature demeanor in order to balance out Ace and help keep him in line. During this time the shard had breathed life into a phone, creating the little medic, Jinx whom remained predominantly under Nyx's care. Later on, having been separated from Ace, ending up under the watch of another teammate, Nitro, they saw an escape pod crash to the ground and inside found a severely damaged Decepticon. More in order to spite Nitro than anything, Nyx decided to keep the 'con alive, getting him back to Jinx in time to save him. The Decepticon mech named himself Shatter, and despite Jinx's best efforts, seemed to have several glitches and processor anomalies, causing him to become unhealthily attached to a single person as well as overly aggressive. Nonetheless, Nyx seemed to click with the Decepticon and from that day on, the two had been near inseparable, and despite Nyx's initial misgivings, she got used to having Shatter around and learned to manage him.

It was later on, that the Decepticons began to show more activity, attacking cities and populations in order to draw out the Autobots. Believing the shard wasn't safe to be left with Nyx any longer, she attempted to give it back to them, only to discover that the shard was fused to her chest, the power from the shard had begun using her organic body as it's new vessel. While she could currently contain it, it was uncertain whether she'd survive the process or not. Nyx lived for some time longer, never knowing if the shard was going to kill her or not when she was drawn into a battle between the bots and the 'cons. During this, the shard felt it was once more in danger and speeding up the process, the rest of the power went surging into Nyx's body. Considering her organic portion was not able to contain such power, the shard altered it's new vessel. It merged cybertronian matter with her organic body, making her resistant to the acidic effects of energon which new replaced her blood. Her hear stopped beating and hardened into a casing which housed a new spark. Her eyes which had been destroyed by shrapnel in the battle were replaced with cybertronian optics which must be covered at all times to hide what had happened. While she is tougher than the average human, she isn't particularly stronger or faster, nor does she have access to the power that uses her as it's vessel. She must eat constantly in order to maintain her body and her lifespan was now stretched to that of a cybertronian. After this event, Radon, the leader of the team, announced that he and some of the others needed to leave Earth in order to pursue a meteor passing by that had displayed signs it was laden with Energon, it left Nyx, Ace, Jinx and Shatter to maintain the base and oppose the Decepticons. It was at this time that Nyx decided to go back and see her parents, finding out that they had indeed been searching for her all this time. But when she got back, what she found was the results of Decepticon vengeance, her family with the Decepticon symbol carved into their chests after which they'd all been burned alive.

Devastated, it took Nyx quite some time to recover, eventually leaving her old life behind for lived like this until the end of the war, takng up the role as sniper, knowing that if the Decepticons were to catch wind of where the shard had gone, they'd come after her and those around her. She took part in the team more than ever while Radon and some of the others were off Earth, taking on responsibility for those that remained, learning how to hold herself and make herself heard amongst the giant robots she now found herself amongst.

Post - War
This remained the arrangement until the end of the war after which Nyx began to take part a little more in human life while also managing things back at the base, which had become her permanent home. Later they began to see signs of a continuing threat, strange signals showing up, Nyx organised a meeting among other bot she still knew of on Earth, where they all met Flower. After Ace followed Flower when the big mech wandered off, Nyx continued on their expedition to find the strange signals, eventually being called to save both Ace and Flower after they were taken by Decepticon fanatics who weren't happy with the way the war ended. From there, Nyx accepted Flower into their base and later had to spend much of her time getting the two mechs out of trouble. It was some time later when Nyx was out investigating the signal of an injured cybertronian that she was captured by Solitaire, a little femme who continued to destroy and twist any bots or humans she could get her hands on. She tore Nyx apart, had she not been part cybertronian, Nyx would never have survived the process, as it was, even after she was rescued from that place, it was very uncertain as to whether she'd survive at all. She'd lost most of her human body and in order to keep it alive, she was hooked up to a series of machines built to perform the functions her body no longer could. With her body so badly damaged, Nyx was essentially locked inside her mind with pain alone. After almost a year of building and altering, Jinx altered a protoform they scavenged to house Nyx's body, it's systems keeping her alive. It took them many months more to fine-tune things before she could finally wake up. What faced Nyx was a very long recovery process with a lot of remaining trauma as she tries to deal with the sudden change. More information can be found here:

Mature Content

Ace, Flower and Jinx played a very large part in her recovery. Flower was able to link into the protoform before it was fully functional in order to keep Nyx calm, explain what had happened, to help her through it and to give her access to others via the links also. With only the former Decepticon able to provide the link, they were with her almost constantly, helping her through the mental trauma. For some time afterwards Nyx was dealing with what happened, having near constant night-terrors and panic-attacks at certain triggers which would remind her of her time with Solitaire. Not only this, but Shatter, who'd been Nyx's support for so long began to deteriorate mentally, adding to the already strained levels of stress. It was quite a dark time for everyone and the effects still remain with the prolonged psychological effects of what happened, but despite this, the support Nyx did receive was invaluable and she now focuses the most on figuring out who she is now and what is her place in the world.

Accelerate (Ace) - [Link ] - Close Friend/ Like a Brother
Ace and Nyx met some time back when Ace was seeking the allspark vessel. The two hit it off right away and although it took some adjustment for Nyx to be able to handle such a high energy friend, she eventually learned how to manage him and the two have been close ever since. They both filled a void in the other's life at the time when they met and balance each other out well. Nyx is often the one who redirects Ace when he's becoming too much for other people or is going to far.HappyFlower [Link ] - The other child she has to look after >.>
Nyx took Flower into their base when Ace took a liking to the former Decepticon who was in a bad state of mind. She quickly came to like the big mech too and and found herself slipping into the same role with him as she did with Ace, watching over them both. She always tried to help out the big mech where she could whether it be learning to how to act properly with people or how to win Ace's affections. Flower later repaid this by playing a big part in her recovery and she is incredibly grateful for that.Shatter - [Link ]
For Nyx, Shatter has been her rock. She still finds his volatility difficult to handle, but he always provides a steady base for her to go back to. He doesn't talk a whole lot, but sometimes that silence and understanding is exactly what she needs. He is often to extreme in his mistrust and aggression, which she also sometimes finds difficult to manage, but he is often the voice of caution and has served her very well in the past.Jinx - [Link ]
The little medic was created via the allspark shard Nyx possessed at the time, and as such, Nyx has a certain maternal feeling towards the little medic despite Jinx's independence. For the most part, that is the nature of their relationship, Jinx will often go to Nyx when he's in need of assurance and in turn backs her up wherever possible. It's easy to forget just how young Jinx is because of his maturity and they find they relate through the need for respect.

Radon Prime
While initially it was a battle to win over Radon's approval, Nyx eventually realised that it was only because the red mech cared. Despite this Nyx has always felt like she had to act very formally around Radon, never quite able to act personable or joke around, and when either of them tried, it often turned awkward. Nonetheless, the two did develop great respect for each other and each values the other's council where needed.Nitro - Deceased [Link ]
Initially Nyx thought Nitro was just a jerk, and the two weren't exactly friendly towards each other. But, upon learning more about Nitro, the two found a grudging acceptance. Although each would irritate the other on occasion, Nyx made an effort to stop Ace from annoying the black and orange mech while Nitro seemed sometimes to make the effort not to drop a snide remark. Despite herself, Nyx had come to like the guy. Lag - [Link ]
Lag was really one of the bots Nyx felt closest two after her immediate trio of friends. The blue mech was often calm and kind, acting more like a parent than she felt her own had done. She often found herself going to him for advice before she would go to Radon, simply because he had a way of putting things in perspective. It was also a pleasant change to enjoy the calm silence of hanging out with Lag versus the high energy company Ace provided.Hagraven - [Link ]
Nyx met Hag through Base and Split. To Nyx, her relationship with Hagraven is very similar to her relationship with Radon Prime. She respects the grumpy femme, but feels she must constantly act formally around her, and like she has to present herself as a strong and capable leader in order to earn some sort of approval. As such, Nyx is noticeably more stern when seen around the older femme.Aileron
Nyx can't help but like the massive femme, she plays well with Ace and the others and she always appreciates anyone who can handle the bot whom she considers a brother. While she can't understand the big femme's beeping, like Ace, she will speak to the ship just like any other person, to her, it is simply like she would talk to Ace while in his alt-mode while she was human, unlike most other cybertronians who don't have experience with this.Tronica - [Link ]
With Tronica being a stoic no-nonsense femme, Nyx often puts on that same formal persona she uses with Hag and Radon, however she often feels less like she has to act like this with Tronica. Nonetheless, she tries to make sure she's there whenever Ace or Flower have to see the medic, simply to make sure they don't annoy her too much, knowing she'd not tolerate it long. Tronica spent time working on Nyx's processor for her cybertronian component but their interactions remained fairly business-like.PitchZero - [Link ]
Nyx was in contact with Pitch quite a lot. He was the spy for their team, and Radon appointed her as Pitches point of contact back at the base in order to help Nyx feel like she contributes to the team. Pitch will debrief Nyx after which she will organise the information and present it to Radon. The two get along quite well, with an easy-relationship although sometimes the two do have words when Pitch gets too frustrated with Ace.Mimic - [Link ]
Nyx only meets Pitc's partner Mimic much later after the war and the two don't get along all that well. Nyx acts as a leader and values both control and respect, Mimic resists any form of authority and gets violent very quickly, something Nyx doesn't tolerate. So the two don't get along all that well, especially because both of them are too stubborn to back down, so it's often that Pitch needs to diffuse the situation.Moshpit - [Link ]
Nyx also didn't know Mosh until later after the war, but despite Mosh's constant attempts to be like Mimic and act rebellious, Nyx saw very quickly it was all a bluff and stood firm. She does quite like the young mech and is more than willing to treat him well so long as he acts in a mature manner and listens to her. She appreciates the way he acts around children and often opts to give him a small break from babysitting sometimes. Marionette - [Link ]
Nyx and Marionette don't speak often though they are very friendly towards each other, Mari is simply a shy femme and Nyx is often running around after troublesome butts. She does find it nice to have someone who identifies more as a femme to talk to when she needs it, and on the odd occasion, they do hang out though they aren't as close as other people in Nyx's life.SparrowHawk - [Link ]
Nyx tends to get along very well with Sparrow, being more mature than Ace and more able to talk through things with her. She often takes on a similar role that she does with Flower, trying to guide the young femme to think critically about her place in the war, figure out who she is and where to go from there. She appreciates the company of the young predacon and tries to help her out where possible.Pickpocket - [Link ]
Pickpocket and her sparkmate were found after having been caught and used for spark-experiments by Solitaire. Nyx did what she could to fix the two up and find a solution to their now destroyed spark-bond. At first Nyx was off-put by Pocket's demeanour which made the big femme seem disdainful of others, but Nyx quickly realised this was just the way Pocket knew how to act and she began to understand her better.ChromeFeather
Nyx found Pocket's sparkmate Chrome much easier to deal with initially, being more open to... well... be open. She took a liking to be big femme and found that the best way to really get to Pocket is through Chrome. Nyx is still incredibly grateful to both femmes for helping Ace and Flower through a very difficult time and as such, she always has a place for them at her base if she needs it.Solitaire - [Link ]
Nyx has a history with this little femme, not only has Solitaire hurt a lot of people Nyx cares about, but she was also the one who captured Nyx, tore her apart and destroyed her human body. Just like any who have been a victim of Solitaire, Nyx has a fear of the femme, driven deep into her by what the little femme has done. If given the opportunity, Nyx would kill her in a heart-beat, but Solitaire has proven difficult to get a hold of, and since the trauma Nyx faced she is not entirely sure whether she is capable of bringing down the femme should she find her at all.Metronome - [Link ]
Like many others, Nyx found Metronome and Brinicle after they were victims of Solitaire's spark experiments. Nyx considers Metronome as a work in progress in order to help her get through the damage caused to her during that time. She does her best to manage Metronome's behaviour and task her with activities that will help her move past what happened. One of these is organising sparring sessions with Flower in order to help her deal with her missing optic.Brinicle - [Link ]
Nyx has only sympathy for the tiny little mech, she knows the poor thing is just terrified of everyone after his ordeal and for the most part, she tries to give him space, allowing him to come to her and to develop his trust in others. Past offering him the occasional word or cube of energon, she let's him move at his own pace though she's more than willing to respond to him if he initiates any interactions, she often tries to have him hang out with Jinx as the two have similar interests.SeamRipper - [Link ]
Another one of Solitaire's victims, along with Patch, Nyx played a big part in their recovery, doing her best to help them through the time they went through. She helps manage them and encourage them gently towards facing their fears. Eventually she saw Ripper and Base hitting it off and encouraged him to go with her. She has only affection for the sweet-natured former drone and wishes him the best.DataBase - [Link ]
Nyx came to like Base very quickly, the femme was calm and kind, the two had a lot in common, especially where it came to caring for others around them and after meeting just once the war ended, Nyx kept in contact with the orange femme. The two often talk and Nyx found herself slowly hanging out a little more with Base after gaining her cybertronian body. While Nyx has always been support for others, she found Base to give her a little of that support and she values that greatly. SplitSecond - [Link ]
Another child that Nyx feels she has to watch over, luckily Base is usually on hand to manage the purple mech which helps a lot. Nyx often views Split with some amusement, but they do have their occasional clashes where Split begins acting like a petulant child and Nyx feels the need to combat that with discipline. Sometimes it doesn't finish on the best of terms, but the interaction between these two is a work in progress. Riften
Oh how much Nyx would like to separate this mech's head from his shoulders and shove it up his aft. As someone who hurt, took advantage of and manipulated Ace, Nyx has no love for this big mech and if it were up to her, she and Flower would teach him a very valuable lesson not to mess with someone they love. But Ace would never allow that, and as such, Nyx has to swallow her words, but she deals with the mech cordially if coldly, with little tolerance for any misstep.Toaster - [Link ]
As one of the two people who know Toaster is actually a cybertronian, Nyx looks out for him like anyone else in her base. While she was human, she used to try and take him out and bring him little things to keep him happy. Once she became a cybertronian she doesn't often get the opportunity for the latter anymore, but she tries to make up for it as much as she can by ordering things online for him and bringing him energon.

Evidently this can have some issues, sometimes backing down is the best way forward and stubbornness can mean one is closed to new ideas. For the most part, Nyx's generally tactful nature this keeps these traits in line, she'll listen to the ideas of others so long as they're presented in a respectful manner but she's sensitive to disrespect and this can lead her to disregard an idea even though it might be a good one. In addition, this experience around large cybertronians has caused her to overcompensate in some areas, especially coming across overly forceful or abrasive when she feels anyone is reacting disrespectfully or stubbornly. She'll become much less accommodating, aiming to match or surpass whatever hostilities she's shown and while she usually does this in a calm and levelled manner, this doesn't always help to diffuse arguments. Often times Nyx doesn't even aim to defuse but to win.

She is, for the most part, a calm and responsible individual. Having been quite independent from an early age, she has always been quite mature, a trait built upon after she met the cybertronians and was paired with Ace. The silver mech being quite childish and fickle, Nyx immediate slipped into a mediating temperament which was to be a responsible influence and help moderate his behaviour, keeping him from getting into trouble. As time went on, she embodied this role further and further, eventually coming into some sort of leadership position in which she thrived. She has a controlling nature and a such, she doesn't always take well to other authorities and can become quite defensive if she feels her people or 'territory' are being threatened. With a strong sense of responsibility, she feels like she has to be the one to take care of everything and everyone and thus she tends to try to maintain an image of being in control, establishing this by attempting to make sure she knows what is happening at all times.

Despite the negatives of her personality, Nyx has also fostered a friendly attitude and one of acceptance towards others. She has a tendency not to take one's badge or affiliation as demonstrative of their character and will give them a chance regardless. Despite this, she isn't as naive as Ace is and while she is more than willing to give people a chance, she always makes sure she takes precautions in case they're not quite as they seem. Nyx is a perceptive individual, a trait fostered by her bond with Shatter who often attempts to teach her to notice the little things that others don't. As a result, she can quite often sense a change in the mood or when something isn't being told to her in full, paired with an empathetic nature, the ability to sense and understand the emotions of others, she can often tell when something is wrong and along with a generally level-headed and calm demeanour, she's a good one to talk to when someone has a problem. Despite this open and friendly demeanor, Nyx is often seen as evasive or defensive on certain topics, especially where her family, life before cybertronians and her organic half are concerned. She doesn't like talking about them and will quickly try to avoid the topic if it were to arise, if this evasiveness doesn't work, she'll quickly become defensive, prone to snapping and coming off more harshly than she might have intended.

Just a disclaimer. Yes I know a lot of this history is very cliche and while human, Nyx could be considered
to have mary-sue-like tendencies. I did create this character many years ago when I didn't know any
better and these traits and tendencies have become in many ways, integral to her story and character
which is why they haven't changed even at this point. The making her cybertronian was yes, cliche,
but it was intended to get rid of those mary-sue traits, which it has done, with Nyx being far more
balanced in the physiological sense.

During the War
Nyx's life began as quite an ordinary human. She had two parents who loved her dearly, but being often tight on money, both worked long hours, hardly ever being home. The stress took a toll on their relationship and when they were home, the time was often spent fighting and arguing. The two often didn't have enough time to give to their child ironically not giving her what she desired while they worked do hard to create a better life for them all. So Nyx learned independence from an early age. Despite the turmoil at home, she managed to keep her grades more or less a steady average, that was, until she reached high school. Starting there, she'd managed to antagonise the school bullies whom, from that day on, made sure to target her, attempting to isolate her from others through a series of cruel 'pranks'. It steadily broke her down despite every attempt to stand up to them and to fight back.

This went on for some time until, like always, things changed. Nyx was walking home from class one night when she was followed closley by a truck. Believing it was just some creep trying to scare her, she raced into the bush reserve between the street and her house, however she didn't expect the truck to come after her, but this time standing on two legs as a humanoid robot. The thing quickly caught up and grabbed her, snarling about something called an 'allspark' and being an 'Autobot sympathiser'. Nyx, not knowing what was going on and in shock, couldn't respond with anything and the robot began to get impatient, squeezing her body, near crushing her just as someone else intervened. Nearly passing out, Nyx wasn't in a condition to notice the black and silver robot who'd made a sudden appearance, barralling into her attacker and freeing her from him. Waking up much later, the black and silver robot introduced himself as Accelerate, explaining they were Cybertronians, fighting a war between Autobots and Decepticons. Nyx also discovered that the unassuming stone she'd bought at a little market stall when it caught her eye, was actually a temporary housing for part of the Allspark, some of the power had been stolen by a group of Decepticons before the Allspark was jettisoned to Earth.

Ace, being tasked to protect the shard until the rest of his team reached Earth, the two began to spend a lot of time together, becoming fast friends as both needed a companion and both filled the void for the other. Eventually the team reached Earth, and Nyx managed to convince them to take her with them, altering her appearance to avoid being caught. The team travelled around the country for quite some time, keeping on the move as not to let the Decepticons get a good fix on the shard's location. Over this time, Nyx began to grow as an individual, taking on a more mature demeanor in order to balance out Ace and help keep him in line. During this time the shard had breathed life into a phone, creating the little medic, Jinx whom remained predominantly under Nyx's care. Later on, having been separated from Ace, ending up under the watch of another teammate, Nitro, they saw an escape pod crash to the ground and inside found a severely damaged Decepticon. More in order to spite Nitro than anything, Nyx decided to keep the 'con alive, getting him back to Jinx in time to save him. The Decepticon mech named himself Shatter, and despite Jinx's best efforts, seemed to have several glitches and processor anomalies, causing him to become unhealthily attached to a single person as well as overly aggressive. Nonetheless, Nyx seemed to click with the Decepticon and from that day on, the two had been near inseparable, and despite Nyx's initial misgivings, she got used to having Shatter around and learned to manage him.

It was later on, that the Decepticons began to show more activity, attacking cities and populations in order to draw out the Autobots. Believing the shard wasn't safe to be left with Nyx any longer, she attempted to give it back to them, only to discover that the shard was fused to her chest, the power from the shard had begun using her organic body as it's new vessel. While she could currently contain it, it was uncertain whether she'd survive the process or not. Nyx lived for some time longer, never knowing if the shard was going to kill her or not when she was drawn into a battle between the bots and the 'cons. During this, the shard felt it was once more in danger and speeding up the process, the rest of the power went surging into Nyx's body. Considering her organic portion was not able to contain such power, the shard altered it's new vessel. It merged cybertronian matter with her organic body, making her resistant to the acidic effects of energon which new replaced her blood. Her hear stopped beating and hardened into a casing which housed a new spark. Her eyes which had been destroyed by shrapnel in the battle were replaced with cybertronian optics which must be covered at all times to hide what had happened. While she is tougher than the average human, she isn't particularly stronger or faster, nor does she have access to the power that uses her as it's vessel. She must eat constantly in order to maintain her body and her lifespan was now stretched to that of a cybertronian. After this event, Radon, the leader of the team, announced that he and some of the others needed to leave Earth in order to pursue a meteor passing by that had displayed signs it was laden with Energon, it left Nyx, Ace, Jinx and Shatter to maintain the base and oppose the Decepticons. It was at this time that Nyx decided to go back and see her parents, finding out that they had indeed been searching for her all this time. But when she got back, what she found was the results of Decepticon vengeance, her family with the Decepticon symbol carved into their chests after which they'd all been burned alive.

Devastated, it took Nyx quite some time to recover, eventually leaving her old life behind for lived like this until the end of the war, takng up the role as sniper, knowing that if the Decepticons were to catch wind of where the shard had gone, they'd come after her and those around her. She took part in the team more than ever while Radon and some of the others were off Earth, taking on responsibility for those that remained, learning how to hold herself and make herself heard amongst the giant robots she now found herself amongst.

Post - War
This remained the arrangement until the end of the war after which Nyx began to take part a little more in human life while also managing things back at the base, which had become her permanent home. Later they began to see signs of a continuing threat, strange signals showing up, Nyx organised a meeting among other bot she still knew of on Earth, where they all met Flower. After Ace followed Flower when the big mech wandered off, Nyx continued on their expedition to find the strange signals, eventually being called to save both Ace and Flower after they were taken by Decepticon fanatics who weren't happy with the way the war ended. From there, Nyx accepted Flower into their base and later had to spend much of her time getting the two mechs out of trouble. It was some time later when Nyx was out investigating the signal of an injured cybertronian that she was captured by Solitaire, a little femme who continued to destroy and twist any bots or humans she could get her hands on. She tore Nyx apart, had she not been part cybertronian, Nyx would never have survived the process, as it was, even after she was rescued from that place, it was very uncertain as to whether she'd survive at all. She'd lost most of her human body and in order to keep it alive, she was hooked up to a series of machines built to perform the functions her body no longer could. With her body so badly damaged, Nyx was essentially locked inside her mind with pain alone. After almost a year of building and altering, Jinx altered a protoform they scavenged to house Nyx's body, it's systems keeping her alive. It took them many months more to fine-tune things before she could finally wake up. What faced Nyx was a very long recovery process with a lot of remaining trauma as she tries to deal with the sudden change. More information can be found here:

Mature Content

Ace, Flower and Jinx played a very large part in her recovery. Flower was able to link into the protoform before it was fully functional in order to keep Nyx calm, explain what had happened, to help her through it and to give her access to others via the links also. With only the former Decepticon able to provide the link, they were with her almost constantly, helping her through the mental trauma. For some time afterwards Nyx was dealing with what happened, having near constant night-terrors and panic-attacks at certain triggers which would remind her of her time with Solitaire. Not only this, but Shatter, who'd been Nyx's support for so long began to deteriorate mentally, adding to the already strained levels of stress. It was quite a dark time for everyone and the effects still remain with the prolonged psychological effects of what happened, but despite this, the support Nyx did receive was invaluable and she now focuses the most on figuring out who she is now and what is her place in the world.

Ace and Nyx met some time back when Ace was seeking the allspark vessel. The two hit it off right away and although it took some adjustment for Nyx to be able to handle such a high energy friend, she eventually learned how to manage him and the two have been close ever since. They both filled a void in the other's life at the time when they met and balance each other out well. Nyx took Flower into their base when Ace took a liking to the former Decepticon who was in a bad state of mind. She quickly came to like the big mech too and and found herself slipping into the same role with him as she did with Ace, watching over them both. She always tried to help out the big mech where she could whether it be learning to how to act properly with people or how to win Ace's affections. Flower later repaid this by playing a big part in her recovery and she is incredibly grateful for that.Shatter - [Link ]
For Nyx, Shatter has been her rock. She still finds his volatility difficult to handle, but he always provides a steady base for her to go back to. He doesn't talk a whole lot, but sometimes that silence and understanding is exactly what she needs. He is often to extreme in his mistrust and aggression, which she also sometimes finds difficult to manage, but he is often the voice of caution and has served her very well in the past.Jinx - [Link ]
The little medic was created via the allspark shard Nyx possessed at the time, and as such, Nyx has a certain maternal feeling towards the little medic despite Jinx's independence. For the most part, that is the nature of their relationship, Jinx will often go to Nyx when he's in need of assurance and in turn backs her up wherever possible. It's easy to forget just how young Jinx is because of his maturity and they find they relate through the need for respect.

While initially it was a battle to win over Radon's approval, Nyx eventually realised that it was only because the red mech cared. Despite this Nyx has always felt like she had to act very formally around Radon, never quite able to act personable or joke around, and when either of them tried, it often turned awkward. Nonetheless, the two did develop great respect for each other and each values the other's council where needed.Nitro - Deceased [Link ]
Initially Nyx thought Nitro was just a jerk, and the two weren't exactly friendly towards each other. But, upon learning more about Nitro, the two found a grudging acceptance. Although each would irritate the other on occasion, Nyx made an effort to stop Ace from annoying the black and orange mech while Nitro seemed sometimes to make the effort not to drop a snide remark. Lag was really one of the bots Nyx felt closest two after her immediate trio of friends. The blue mech was often calm and kind, acting more like a parent than she felt her own had done. She often found herself going to him for advice before she would go to Radon, simply because he had a way of putting things in perspective. It was also a pleasant change to enjoy the calm silence of hanging out with Lag versus the high energy company Ace provided.Hagraven - [Link ]
Nyx met Hag through Base and Split. To Nyx, her relationship with Hagraven is very similar to her relationship with Radon Prime. She respects the grumpy femme, but feels she must constantly act formally around her, and like she has to present herself as a strong and capable leader in order to earn some sort of approval. As such, Nyx is noticeably more stern when seen around the older femme.Aileron
Nyx can't help but like the massive femme, she plays well with Ace and the others and she always appreciates anyone who can handle the bot whom she considers a brother. While she can't understand the big femme's beeping, like Ace, she will speak to the ship just like any other person, to her, it is simply like she would talk to Ace while in his alt-mode while she was human, unlike most other cybertronians who don't have experience with this.Tronica - [Link ]
With Tronica being a stoic no-nonsense femme, Nyx often puts on that same formal persona she uses with Hag and Radon, however she often feels less like she has to act like this with Tronica. Nonetheless, she tries to make sure she's there whenever Ace or Flower have to see the medic, simply to make sure they don't annoy her too much, knowing she'd not tolerate it long. Tronica spent time working on Nyx's processor for her cybertronian component but their interactions remained fairly business-like.PitchZero - [Link ]
Nyx was in contact with Pitch quite a lot. He was the spy for their team, and Radon appointed her as Pitches point of contact back at the base in order to help Nyx feel like she contributes to the team. Pitch will debrief Nyx after which she will organise the information and present it to Radon. The two get along quite well, with an easy-relationship although sometimes the two do have words when Pitch gets too frustrated with Ace.Mimic - [Link ]
Nyx only meets Pitc's partner Mimic much later after the war and the two don't get along all that well. Nyx acts as a leader and values both control and respect, Mimic resists any form of authority and gets violent very quickly, something Nyx doesn't tolerate. So the two don't get along all that well, especially because both of them are too stubborn to back down, so it's often that Pitch needs to diffuse the situation.Moshpit - [Link ]
Nyx also didn't know Mosh until later after the war, but despite Mosh's constant attempts to be like Mimic and act rebellious, Nyx saw very quickly it was all a bluff and stood firm. She does quite like the young mech and is more than willing to treat him well so long as he acts in a mature manner and listens to her. She appreciates the way he acts around children and often opts to give him a small break from babysitting sometimes. Marionette - [Link ]
Nyx and Marionette don't speak often though they are very friendly towards each other, Mari is simply a shy femme and Nyx is often running around after troublesome butts. She does find it nice to have someone who identifies more as a femme to talk to when she needs it, and on the odd occasion, they do hang out though they aren't as close as other people in Nyx's life.SparrowHawk - [Link ]
Nyx tends to get along very well with Sparrow, being more mature than Ace and more able to talk through things with her. She often takes on a similar role that she does with Flower, trying to guide the young femme to think critically about her place in the war, figure out who she is and where to go from there. Pickpocket and her sparkmate were found after having been caught and used for spark-experiments by Solitaire. Nyx did what she could to fix the two up and find a solution to their now destroyed spark-bond. At first Nyx was off-put by Pocket's demeanour which made the big femme seem disdainful of others, but Nyx quickly realised this was just the way Pocket knew how to act and she began to understand her better.ChromeFeather
Nyx found Pocket's sparkmate Chrome much easier to deal with initially, being more open to... well... be open. She took a liking to be big femme and found that the best way to really get to Pocket is through Chrome. Nyx is still incredibly grateful to both femmes for helping Ace and Flower through a very difficult time and as such, she always has a place for them at her base if she needs it.Solitaire - [Link ]
Nyx has a history with this little femme, not only has Solitaire hurt a lot of people Nyx cares about, but she was also the one who captured Nyx, tore her apart and destroyed her human body. Just like any who have been a victim of Solitaire, Nyx has a fear of the femme, driven deep into her by what the little femme has done. If given the opportunity, Nyx would kill her in a heart-beat, but Solitaire has proven difficult to get a hold of, and since the trauma Nyx faced she is not entirely sure whether she is capable of bringing down the femme should she find her at all.Metronome - [Link ]
Like many others, Nyx found Metronome and Brinicle after they were victims of Solitaire's spark experiments. Nyx considers Metronome as a work in progress in order to help her get through the damage caused to her during that time. She does her best to manage Metronome's behaviour and task her with activities that will help her move past what happened. One of these is organising sparring sessions with Flower in order to help her deal with her missing optic.Brinicle - [Link ]
Nyx has only sympathy for the tiny little mech, she knows the poor thing is just terrified of everyone after his ordeal and for the most part, she tries to give him space, allowing him to come to her and to develop his trust in others. Past offering him the occasional word or cube of energon, she let's him move at his own pace though she's more than willing to respond to him if he initiates any interactions, she often tries to have him hang out with Jinx as the two have similar interests.SeamRipper - [Link ]
Another one of Solitaire's victims, along with Patch, Nyx played a big part in their recovery, doing her best to help them through the time they went through. She helps manage them and encourage them gently towards facing their fears. Eventually she saw Ripper and Base hitting it off and encouraged him to go with her. She has only affection for the sweet-natured former drone and wishes him the best.DataBase - [Link ]
Nyx came to like Base very quickly, the femme was calm and kind, the two had a lot in common, especially where it came to caring for others around them and after meeting just once the war ended, Nyx kept in contact with the orange femme. The two often talk and Nyx found herself slowly hanging out a little more with Base after gaining her cybertronian body. While Nyx has always been support for others, she found Base to give her a little of that support and she values that greatly. SplitSecond - [Link ]
Another child that Nyx feels she has to watch over, luckily Base is usually on hand to manage the purple mech which helps a lot. Nyx often views Split with some amusement, but they do have their occasional clashes where Split begins acting like a petulant child and Nyx feels the need to combat that with discipline. Oh how much Nyx would like to separate this mech's head from his shoulders and shove it up his aft. As someone who hurt, took advantage of and manipulated Ace, Nyx has no love for this big mech and if it were up to her, she and Flower would teach him a very valuable lesson not to mess with someone they love. But Ace would never allow that, and as such, Nyx has to swallow her words, but she deals with the mech cordially if coldly, with little tolerance for any misstep.Toaster - [Link ]
As one of the two people who know Toaster is actually a cybertronian, Nyx looks out for him like anyone else in her base. While she was human, she used to try and take him out and bring him little things to keep him happy. Once she became a cybertronian she doesn't often get the opportunity for the latter anymore, but she tries to make up for it as much as she can by ordering things online for him and bringing him energon.
