DOCTOR WHO.I'm trying a new type of painting. And this isn't it. I'm trying to work on getting block colors down instead of blending constantly while painting. This past semester I was attempting to work on this in my actual painting class, and I find it really helps me to practice on the computer using a brush with 100% opacity so that I force myself not to blend.
That being said.... after doing this entire picture in the manner just described I then went ahead and smudged the whole thing.
Hehe, I guess I just can't escape my gut instinct to blend skin so it looks smooth. I might upload the non-smudged version later if I feel like it. Non-smudged version: [link] ANYWAY enough of me jabbering, I'm gonna be uploading more soon. Ones that I have actually resisted the urge to smudge within an inch of their life.
