This is getting really cliche with those games - almost ALL of them use very similar locations, even if the plot tends to be much more diverse than environment.

Maybe. I'm not sad about it.

I am a little bit sad about that. I made an apprenticeship in Artifex Mundi, Polish developer of hidden object games. Everyone in stuff realized halfway through new game they were designing that they are practically reimagining their previous game in terms of locations

We are a small company and currently we have no many games. Games that we have are different. Soon we will finish a new game about magical fairy world) I enjoy to work with different projects

And i think you have no good screenwriter, if you have problems like that))))

Told you. It's not "screenplay" where the problem lies. It's art team - they keep giving the same, formulatic pictures for locations. The stories were different, with no similarities between them (exept maybe female main character in all of them). And art team is something really hard to change at once.

I think that the sceenwriter create a script, and the script defines what needs to be 0_o

... and then few dudes in art division creates concept arts showing how they imagine those things and it was REALLY hard to convince them to draw thing in different manner than their preferred imagination. Trust me, bad things happens when your art team is made mostly by insufferable artists.
