Well have a look at these familiar faces! Due to my job, it's been a long time since I've managed to finish any art. But I've been back in a DBZ mood lately, and really wanted to finish out this piece I started, oh, maybe 2-3 years ago now. I redrew about half of it and then coloured it yesterday. It kind of feels good, going back to one's roots.
So here you have Iris' and (my) Future Trunks' updated designs. After Time-Patrol!Trunks was made a thing, I kind of decided that I like the idea, a lot, and wanted to include it within my own fannon. So now Iris and Trunks are time police, kind of?? Yeah.
Designed my own costume for Trunks though, because I've wanted to make an original costume design for him for ages now. Iris' design is the same as it has been for the past several years, but I changed her skin tone some while ago to hammer in the fact that she's related to Turles (and not Goku)!
Guess that's about it! Hope you guys like it.

I like your Time Police idea! After playing Xenoverse I had kind of a similar train of thought for Osha and Prouts. I really love this little picture of Iris and trunks. ^u^

were my first fanarts and I had a fan character or two for this as well.

ACTUALLY, no where in canon does it state that they are related. In the US English dub, Turles says something to the effect of "there are only a few types like us", and the JP version doesn't say anything about them being related either. The only version which does is the UK version, which I believe says they are cousins - but the UK version is also largely considered the least-accurate (it's the same version where Piccolo's name is "Big Green" for some reason), and therefore a very non-credible source. I still consider them cousins, personally, but that's not canon.
The problem lies in the fact that before people were constantly asking if she was supposed to be a female!Goku, or if she was his sister, or his daughter. And she is none of those things, so, I opted to change the skin tone to try and get people to stop asking if she was immediately related to Goku. They're supposed to be second-cousins; she's not meant to be him, or his sister, or his child. And I've gotten very tired of the argument, that's all.
And yeah - I have tons of DBZ OCs, and a few Pokemon OCs myself. : )

Ahh, Thanks Shay! It has been quite some while since I've drawn either of these two. But every now and then I get the itch to draw them again. I've been in a DBZ mood the past few days so????
But Yeah I wanted something a little more streamlined and 'modern DBZ' without losing all the elements from his original/canon design (whilst also incluing an element or two from his time-patrol outfit). Iris is just being her sassy little self. I'm super happy with both of their expressions. U u U
