Sometimes I wonder how we even managed to fly. Cocooned as we were by unprotected nights, in dark and disturbing places perpetually echoing with laughter of mirth and madness, how we even managed to become butterfies. But then I look into the mirror, and remember - not all of us could fly. Some were born with atrophied wings after - and needed to grow them again ex-cocoon. Sitting here, now, a world and a half away, dare I recall how painful that was?
