Well, Steph is finally making a comeback.
And let me just say how great it is to see somebody in the crapfest called New 52 finally give a rat's ass about seeing Kara happy. TOO. MUCH. ANGST!

ah yes, I've seen some news about step's comeback (she got a pretty great costume design) but I haven't heard much more beyond that. it's too bad but very little news about the DC characters these days get me very excited, so I haven't kept track much.
I've always been very fond of kara, even tho all of her writers seem overly fond of adding on angst to most of her story lines. but as said, can't say I know what's happened to her lately though.
either way, thanks for the kind words. ^^

Yeah. I like how they gave her her own weapon, like Tim's staff or Dick's Nightsticks. I wonder if she'll ever be outside the comics as something other than a cameo. (She was in Lego Batman 1, Batman Beyond ROTJ, and Young Justice, but only as a cameo)
I'm also very fond of Kara. I mean, even ignoring the huge crush I have on her, she'd still be one of my favorite characters. She was with the Red Lanterns for a while, and now she's joining the Justice League's new Canadian branch, but - and this is the good part - I hear she's actually starting to get a little less angsty. Maybe she'll actually learn how to smile.
You're very welcome.

I feel your pain bro. She's a splendid character and I know I'de be banging my head repeatedly if the same fate had been bestowed on my favorite character (as it is I'm still banging my head, but oh well...)

Yeah.... She was the Girl Wonder. How could they take her away?

Cass: Yes.
Steph: No. DC is forbidden from using her.

Say whaaat? Is she licensed or something, or are they just that bitter that someone without a penis has such a strong fan base? I mean, Steph's not really my homegirl but this is pissing me off in so many ways.

For whatever reason the heads of DC have forbidden any use of her. No reason slated.
My guess is this:
Much of the New 52 is based around taking heroes back when they were new, when they were young, when they were original. Hal Jordan, Barry Allen, Barbara Gordan etc were put back to their original places. Many histories were retconned (Batman and family are largely the most unchanged).
So my guess is that since Stephanie is a relatively new character, they're holding off using her until more of the current continuity has been established and they will re-introduce her some years down the road.
Only a guess though.

It's a good guess, unfortunately I'm bitter enough not to give DC that benefit of a doubt. Damian is far more new and he's not getting pushed aside.
Thanks for exlaining it though . Things may work out yet. maybe.

Look it up on Wikipedia for the whole story. I don't like it either, believe me.

However, they did go back to the proper Batgirl, in my opinion. The real Batgirl has always been Barbara. (Of course, I was reading comics in the 70's, so that might color my opinions some. *grin*)

To each their own. IMO, as Oracle, Babs was even better. Again, could be me.

Agreed on the 'to each their own thing". *grin* That's why I added that caveat at the end.
