Eheh. I don't even remember this work.
It's interesting for me to see my evolution about my Art in the past 2/3 years and see too that feelings are in all my past works (and news of course) but the technique don't. And that's why we call it evolution...

Well the funny thing is... I'm a huge fan of the story in general; I have copies of Kay and Leroux, the original Canadian soundtrack, I've seen the show twice... all that jazz. And nothing even compares to this piece. Most people tone it down, and I don't want to be critical but I believe it has to do with the fangirlish belief that he can't possibly be as ugly as all that. I've held that belief before... but this just blew my mind. It's dead-on.

The phantom of the opera is a wonderful book (and play). The face of the phantom in your picture is hideous, which is good because you meant it to be. He has a very dramatic pose, and I see a lot of pain and a bit of mad anger. I like that you gave him wings, especially since they are black and misty.
