Description
Forgive me for skipping ahead in sequence. I couldn't help myself. The Gelgoog reploid series is one of the newest (and last) in the Zeon reploid forces. Its abilities are designed to match or even surpass that of Gundam's. My idea here is that Char's Zaku, seeing that his abilities cannot match Gundam's, volunteers to have his AI transferred to a new, experimental reploid body, and thus becomes the first Gelgoog.
The Gelgoog series wields a buster cannon in the right arm, wields a dual-bladed beam saber, and usually carries a large shield for extra protection.

Man, these guys look super-badass. Clearly Gelgoogs are awesome no matter what universe they're in. Interesting choice to go with the crystal in the torso where the circular cockpit hatch would go. I think my favorite part is the lines across the visor -- everything's cooler with wicked scarring.
God job, as usual.

Vile, Sigma and Zero, among others, transfer into new bodies over the course of the X Series.

If you really think about it, Char lost because he was the antagonist. The main enemy has to eventually lose, it's really the law of most (if not all) works of fiction.
Besides, Amuro was becoming a really good pilot by that point, so it's not like he was just lucky or anything. He had developed some serious skill, not to mention awakening into a Newtype.

The Gelgoog was a great suit. In all honesty, it was at least as good as the RX-78-2 that Amuro used, if not better. Amuro's skill and Newtype strength had just begun to overtake Char's by that point.
That battle was kinda odd though, with all the Elmeth's bits flying around, not to mention Sayla.
