Description
The general design philosophy of the Human Reform League is based on heavy armor and reliability. The Tieren series epitomizes this. However, the Advanced European Union and the Union do not share this trend, leaning in the direction of sleeker, faster mobile suits. The MSJ-06II-C Tieren High Mobility Type could be seen as an attempt to catch up with such machines.

The Tieren High Mobility Type stands 18.3 meters tall, and weighs in at 101.1 metric tons, making it the lightest in the Tieren series. To push the Tieren's mobility to the absolute limit, a number of jet engines and maneuvering fins have been added to the body. The legs incorporate powerful hoverjet engines that give the Tieren the ability to hover just above the ground. A pair of large, thruster-laden wings extend from the hips, and fold up against the back when not in use. These wings, however, were never intended for actual flight. Instead, they serve two other functions--they can provide a small degree of gliding potential during air-drop operations, and when on the ground, they tilt and swivel to allow for fast turns.

The Tieren High-Mobility Type is equipped with the standard Tieren-series weaponry: a 30mm machine gun, a 200mm x25 smooth-bore gun (mountable on either forearm), and a double-edged carbon blade (stored on a cargo hook on the back of the waist).

Though undeniably inferior to a Gundam, the Tieren High-Mobility Type can still hold its own when in the hands of a skilled pilot. One such veteran pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Smirnov, went one-on-one with the Gundam Exia during an attack on a Human Reform League military base. Sergei's piloting skills caught Setsuna off-guard at first, but he quickly turned the tables and all but destroyed the Tieren. Sergei survived with minimal injuries, and continued his pursuit of Celestial Being. Whether or not he will use the Tieren High-Mobility Type again remains to be seen.
