Description As some you you may already have seen I've been working on a set of artworks with the theme of an enchanted woodland. It is just like a normal forest but if you go there and take the time to look closely you might find the creatures are a little unusal

This one is a somewhat different painting approach for me. Its not about strong design or details, instead its all about creating a mood. I hope it will lead the viewer to imagine a magical unicorn appearing out the haze of a late summer in the forest.

You can view some others in the set here ...

I like. Veeery pretty.

Though I don't quite get why there's sun going down and diagonally. Is this set on a world with two major light sources, or something?

Thanks
The main aim of the picture is to create a magical mood. I am not quite sure what you mean by the sun going down diagonally. The rays of sunlight are supposed to be breaking through the haze and tree branches.

I see nothing wrong with the light, it should be through the haze and atop the ground, breaking, throughout the entire forest, through the trees. After all, it IS daytime and you have the directional aspect of it designated correctly you can see the shadows at the forefront as they should be and the hardest glow of the directed light reflecting atop and of the unicorns' backside.. AS IT SHOULD BE. Anyone who knows anything about art can see that it is very evident that the lighting is done correctly I happen to love unicorns (and your immense talent) This is just so very breathtaking. I love it!

I love this one, as with all of your pictures it's beautiful. And I think what she means is there's two angles of sunlight in this picture. The suns breaking through and coming down at an angle and then you see sunlight coming just straight down.
