I've just completed this artwork which was commissioned by Spiral for their 2008 calendar cover. The Grim Reaper is a great subject to paint
I chose an angle that looks up at the figure to emphasis the power and menace of the character.

I love the details in the pickture. Like the skull-lock that holds the cape together and the beautifull ornamented zeiss.
Most of all, I like the piercing look, made in such a way that you can feel him looking down at you. The Gothic cathedral background add's to the way this reaper is ornamented I think. Nice wrok! plus fav.

now that is a great angle for having some fear to be developed xD nice job great with weapons and cloak and the hourglass. Bones are cool too but then well I do not know what is wrong with his bones maybe the color or the shading not sure actually but overall you did very well on this.

he actually has more jaw, and the scyth isn't so fancy.
i was scared when i saw this picture, it looked remarkably like him that you spooked me.
