Description
This is an artwork that I have just completed. I think wolves are wonderful creatures and although from the real world I hope this composition implies an element of fantasy by the character's unusual friendship. The girl's crouched pose leaning into the wolf is designed to look as if she might run off away from the viewer and join the wolves rather than chose human company. I have made their eyes quite similar to also hint at this tie in.A big thanks to photographer Neil Chapman and model Samii for the photo that I used as reference when painting the girl.

You have certainly given this pair the appearance of being pack mates. Β As a long time fantasy reader, gamer this really appeals to on many levels. Β I see a symbiotic relationship and the great fantasy of man/nature in wonderful harmony.

There definitely seems to be a strong link between this character and her wolf companion/familiar.Β I've always liked this kind of relationship in books and movies.Β The first ones that come to mind would be Drizzt with the panther Guenhwyvar and Fitz with the wolf Nighteyes.Β I really like your painting
The wolf is the Protector in your painting, but I think the lady would be just as protective of her friend.

There is only one thing that bothers me, her right arm is out of place.
It would be a little bit at an angle for the placement, otherwise it would be moved back and bent slightly :S
i'm not the best person at drawing but anatomy is an easy spotter.
I could be wrong because of her hair, but it is oddly formed.
Otherwise everything is absolutely lovely

This picture is awesome. You managed to catch exactly what cou say in the description.
But still... I'm looking for a familliar face, it is not hiding in the bushes. Nothing in the clouds, too. No resembling trinket, or some fur of the wolf forming the shape.
Am I not looking hard enough, or did you really draw something without a dragon? Not a tiny one hidden somewhere?
