Interesting design. I'm wondering how well the star points would hold up in real combat. It would seem like they would be vulnerable to breaking off. Of course, I don't really know that much about metallurgy and actual weapon construction, so I could be wrong on that.

Where two of the points meet is a stress point. But against lightly armoured or unarmoured targets this would work. Not something for fighting guys in full plate.
