Description
Finally, the english version of my Witcher worldmap. Still work in progress though, some things are still missing, some things are still wrong. So if you find anything that isn't in the right place or not translated correctly, be sure to tell me!
[UPDATE October 23]
- Fonts changed - I still tried to keep it medieval though. I hope you like the new one better!
- Subsea-Level Topography added
- Some conifair forests added (there will be more in the future if I find a good way to add them without compromising quality)
- Some color corrections for grassier parts of the continent
- Clouds added to mask the unknown parts of the map

I'd really want to know whats inside the other region like the fiery mountains and the Huge Desert.
Id like to see the whole globe, planet too.

Very good job, IronstreffL, it is a very pleasant map to explore with a nice artistic touch and well choosen colors. Forests and mountains are very realistic.
May I anyway suggest something to move ? The place of the Sodden Hill battle ! When reading the short story "Something more" in The Sword of Destiny, it is clear that the Sodden hill is to the north of the Iaruga because Geralt, with Yurga, visit the hill before crossing the river and they are coming from Temeria. I know that many maps place the Sodden Hill battle to the south of the Iaruga, including the CDPR map, but it is well known that they are wrong. If you don't mind I will send you some suggestions.
Congratulations for the deep work !

Oh, and amazing map by the way. So far, this is the only one currently on the internet in which we can interpret.

Sorry for the late reply!
1) Unfortunately it's unknown whats behind those mountains. Under the clouds should be Hakland (who invaded the Northern Kingdom some time after the Witcher saga), but it could be farther to the east.
2) I guess thats a mistake right there x) But I rather like to think they meant judging from the middle of the Northern Kingdoms. Which would mean going north -> Poviss, Kovir; west -> Bremervoord, Cidaris etc. Leaving the Northern Kingdoms wouldn't make sense, since the Salamandras plans were based on them.

Haha nevermind, I found your Imageshack one thanks.
1. Do you know what is beyond the blue mountains?
2. In The Witcher 1 they travel to "the four corners of the world" in search of Salamander, how is that possible if from Kaer Morhen the Blue Mountains are blocking North and East?

1. No one knows. Beyond should be Haakland but that is only briefly mentioned in Witcher saga. How far beyond it is is unknown but we can safely assume its not right next to them as trade relations between Kaedwen, Aedirn and Haakland are either non-existent or marginal. Nothing goes through them. Zerrikania should be beyond the Korath desert.
2. It is not literally. It means North, West, South and East - probably meaning Redania, Kovir, Aedirn and Temeria.

I love this map.
According to the Witcher wiki, the Battle of Brenna it should be to the southwest of Maribor, and here is to the northwest.

The nilfgaardian provinces still contain a lot of mistakes though. Its usable to see the distance between different characters, but especially Metinna, Ebbing, Geso and Maecht need some fixing. Have fun reading the great showdown!
