Was messin' around with the TakaraTomy edition of Soundwave, as he appeared in Transformers Animated, and I just figured that one day I should do a fanart. So here it is.I frickin' love his design from that show, so I figured why not go ahead and sketch the big lug.

Currently I've drawn up the basic starter for a team shot of the Toa Okoto, and it'll be all colored with this style. And it'll have a background, once I decide what that'll be (i need ideas here ;-; ).

I am so amazed at how far your artz skillz have come... How do you make things like this? Do you draw it, scan it, and color it? And what program do you use?

As for what I do/use, I just draw out a sketch and scan it in. If my laziness schedule is especially free, I'll open up ArtRage on my drawing tablet (Wacom/Intuos whatever, didn't check the specific model yet), and then just trace it.
I'll open up multiple layers, use the top one for lineart, middle for shading/lighting stuff, and bottom for basic color.
Then final touches if needed and boom, done.

Well maybe I'll hope to get lucky on my birthday in two and a half months... Probably not though. My parents already pay the $150 dollar fee for me when I want to be involved in another theater production, which I'm usually involved in at least three or four each year. I guess that's a pretty good continual present.
And they pay for Tae Kwon Do which holy crap is expensive, specially when belt testing comes around. Which it is.
