Description
Rusalka (Homo sapiens *fluvialis*?)These nymphs are most likely an example of a strange genetic anomaly. However they are so different from regular humans that sometimes they're classified as a subspecies of Homo sapiens (Homo sapiens fluvialis).
The myth about them being spirits of dead women originated from the fact that when they're born they look like regular girls and gain their characteristic traits around the time they become mature.
Rusalki are known from Slavic folklore. They're cheerful, beautiful, yet dangerous creatures. These nymphs are known for luring men and then either drowning them or tickling to death. Rasalki are associated with water and can be usually spotted near the rivers, streams, lakes and swamps, however they can also live in forests and on fields.
Rusalki have a pair of gills, which allows them to breathe underwater. Nymphs that live away from water usually have dark or blonde hair, those who live in the water reservoirs often have green hair. Reason for this is the fact that they spend most of their life submerged in water. That causes algae to grow in their hair.
Rusalki are not big fans of clothes. They either wear scanty clothes or not wear them at all.

I have an OC who's half-Rusalka & has a habit of designing demon-killing toys when sloshed out of her mind.
