I think your overall tutorial looks good, the steps are well thought out and easy enough to follow.
You might adjust the levels/contrast of your photos a bit. There doesn't seem to be any true white in any of these shots. They all seem a smidge dark.
I think your overall techniqued is good, but I notice that in your finished product his hand is very small, and his hat is very large. If you notice in the photo his hand is a tiny bit bigger than his face, but in your drawing it is much smaller. The hat is only about as wide as his cheek bones, but you've made it much larger.
This leads me to think that you possibly drew this while it was lying on a flat surface. I would suggest either getting a drawing board (any thin, light weight board will work, I use masonite. Pretty cheap from any home improvement store), so that you can face your paper at a 90 degree angle as you work on it, or as you are laying it out, lift it up periodically and re-check the proportions.
Don't take this badly though. I think both the drawing and the tutorial are quite successful!

The Drawing Is Awesome And I Agree That There's A Little Proportioning Problem. Still its wonderfull.
For the tutorial.. it does'nt seem to me a tutorial though its just explaing in steps how did u drew the johny depp portrait i dont think so its gonna help for anyone who wish to draw PORTRAITS. Some very main parts like mixing of shades and the light shades on face are missing in here. Well for a first tutorial.. its GooD. u got talent!
