wow, this is amazing! I love the juxtaposition of the smoke with your limbs. I'd also love to know what exactly the concept is behind putting the smoke there? it's such an intriguing shot all around.

I know you probably won't have time to reply, but I have to at least ask... How did you get such an amazing shot?? With such an amazing model and that smoke!?!? If you cast you eye on me, please let me know some of your technique or some of the ingredients to such a masterpiece... I am a self-learner with photography... It is my true passion. Thank you for posting such a beautiful work!

I'm the model, so I can only tell you what I know. We used a smoke machine for the smoke effect, it was a new machine and produced very a thick mist. I had 2 photographers working with me on this set, and it was all about timing. One would press the smoke machine foot pedal, and they'd both quickly snap as many shots as they could before the smoke with completely engulf me!! We took about 300 shots, this was just the first edit the photographer sent me so there will be more to come, some I even like more than this shot ><.
Oh and also the ropes are really there, and were suspended from the ceiling. I had to be careful when posing to pull them taught, otherwise they'd become loose and it wouldn't look like I was hanging from them

Is the smoke post-production? Or did you actually get the smoke to behave that way?

No the smoke was present in the shoot! You'll have to ask J-mac ([link] ) about getting the smoke to behave, he's he magician behind it
