Askel has parents, His father Victor died from Zoya when she tried to kill Askel but Victor sacrificed himself to save Askel and because of Victor's death Askel's mother Mathea became widowed and Askel's twin brother Tord became the Red Leader but Askel became the New Red Leader after Tord left the Red Army as Tord wants to be happy with his friends and boyfriend Lucas, Joey the Black Leader is orphaned as his parents Jasmine and Dieter died from a fire when Joey was little but Joey got adopted by the Black Army making him the Black Leader growing up and Akeno's parents are still married and happy together and they took care of Akeno and his sister's Zoe and Rosalie and they both accepted Rosalie after she came out as lesbian.
