-Eli….-A softly sounded voice echoed upwards
Eli opened his eyes and looked up to see Sunami staring at him with a startled look
-What’s wrong? - He responded while looking into her eyes
-You fell asleep again didn’t you? –Replied the blue haired girl with a cheery laugh
It was a cold, dusty and quiet morning deep down in Slugterra. Eli and Sunami had been tracking down Black’s Guards after an Incident way back Among the Eastern caverns. They had been tracking them down for a month now, with no recent Incidents or Appearances.
It had been almost 10 years since Eli had come down to Slugterra, He was now a young man and a hero, Just like his father. Everyone In Slugterra admired and respected him, well, almost everyone, since Blakk still hated him with anger filled with deep revenge, and his Guards and Sidekicks were taught to do the same.
Sunami was Elis companion, Girlfriend and long known friend. She had been In the Shane gang as long as she could remember. She was also, sadly, Blakks granddaughter, whom he abandoned when she was just a kid, and she had been adopted by Unbeatable Master. She was also part water slug, and a full human-Slug descendant of the water elemental Due to once being held out into Blakks experiments when she was just a small child.
-Do you have any Idea of how we are going to find them? - Sunami asked interrupting Elis thoughts- We need a plan if we are going to track them down once more.
Eli looked to the side and felt a bop on his head, He stood up and looked as Burpy was smiling at him with an adventurous spirit, He held out his hand and Burpy jumped on it happily.
-Seems someone wants to find them too- Said Eli while Burpy nodded- The problem is I have no idea where they are or where they could be
-Me Neither- Added Sunami with a sight- But there’s no point in giving up. Those guards could be around the corner right now.
Eli stood up while Burpy looked at him with widened eyes of surprise; he jumped upon Eli’s shoulder while he looked around. Sunami stood to his side while they looked over the small cliff filled with trees in which they had been resting. Sunami looked at Eli while he smiled at her.
-Well- He said while walking towards Lucky - We should probably follow up clues, if we haven’t seen them in nearly a month, it could probably mean they disappeared or are planning something under our noses and we haven’t found out.
-You’re right about that- Replied Sunami- But we’ve searched for them all around Slugterra. Blakks hiding places, half of the 99 Caverns, almost every single place in Slugterra. We even searched in our own house! The only place to search would be down with those Darkbane! And Off course, it’s Ridiculous but it seems like They Disappeared into Thin Air! Who knows if they are probably down there!
-Sunami It’s practically impossible they’re down there! - Eli chuckled thinking about the idea in what Sunami looked at him with a glare, but finally responded with a smile
-Well it’s just a thought- She answered with her usual cheery laugh-I probably think Burpy likes the Idea to come back down there right?
Burpy stopped smiling and looked at her with fear. He stared at her with a gasp and looked at her with a “You’re not serious” Look. He hid behind Eli with fear thinking they were really going down there again.
-Common Burpy I know you had lots of fun down there! – Joked Eli while Burpy snatched his tongue out at him
Both Eli and Sunami Failed to hide their laughter, In with Burpy replied with a loud pout, but in the end both three ended laughing, Eli thought that such a wonderful day with his friends couldnt end so bad….Or…Could It?

Night rose faster than expected. Slugterra was soon covered with a darkness filled with an unusual aura of fog and smoke, it seemed like light had vanished away only to make way for darkness to conquer it whole, everything seemed… shockingly different. Sunami hold onto Eli as they both rode on Lucky taking care of the road below. Eli didn’t tell…but inside he felt like…something terribly wrong was going on.
But for the well of Sunami, he ignored that feeling. Although he didn’t know that Sunami was having the same type of feeling deep down. She could hear her heart beating faster as she hold on onto Eli with both hands.
-Its allright- Replied Eli when he felt Sunami lying on his back- Nothing will happen.
-Are you sure? - Asked Sunami while she looked around her- I have a feeling that this is not a safe place to be…
-I feel it too bu-…
Eli was about to answer when suddenly a noise caught his attention. Sunami,s blood started to run cold when the sound started to grow nearer and nearer. Eli rapidly grabbed his blaster and Burpy jumped on the slug tube, growling at whatever was getting nearby.
The sound felt like a growl followed by a whoosh of wind, but whatever it was, Eli knew it wasn’t friendly and it hadn’t come to play. Sunami and Andromeda were already rising up, trying not to let out a scream.
The sound grew even closer, louder and terrifying. Eli felt like his head was spinning round because his Blaster was moving to one side every time. Eli tried to concentrate as hard as he could but his heart was beating fast and his thoughts were mixed up as if he couldn’t feel himself. But then, all of the sudden a big hole filled with light appeared in the front of them and the creature appeared, but it wasn’t just a creature, Eli felt his heart freezing when he saw what it was….a Thugglet, charging at them with an unstoppable speed. Eli tried to shoot Burpy in time…but it was way too late…Eli and Sunami fell straight to the ground followed up by a cloud of dust and a painful crash.
-Sunami!! Are you all right??!! - Asked Eli trying to breathe again, even though his heart felt out of his chest. Sunami was just getting herself on her knees- What was that?!!
-I don’t know but I can swear it was a ghoul!!! – Sunami helped Eli get up while he was looking at the giant hole in the trees
-Where did that thing come from? – Eli said feeling like his heart was made of Ice
-You really want to know? – A familiar voice spoke from between the shadows
Both Eli’s and Sunami’s eyes widened when they saw the darkened figure that rose from the ashes In front of them; Thadeus Blakk, followed up by Nacho and Twist where standing like ghosts in the infinite darkness. Loki, Twist’s Thugglet was staring at them with his bloodshot eyes, His teeth chattering. Sunami hid behind Eli while he took a step forward
-What do you want? – Said Eli while Sunami hold onto him
From behind Blakk the guards Eli and Sunami had been trying to capture for so long finally appeared. One of them was holding a letter which seemed to glow in the darkness, the guard cleared his throat.
“Eli Shane, by order of Thadeus Blakk and the rest of Slugterra, you are under arrest for the safety of the Blakk Company and the rest of the 99 caverns, due tue this, you will be sent to Stalagmite 17 in the east of Slugterra”
Eli’s eyes widened with infinite fear. Had the guard just said…Arrested? Had he mentioned Stalagmite 17? Had he just said by order of Slugterra? Elis world turned black and white. A hole in his head. What had he done in his short life to be arrested by order of the place he protected?
-What??!!- Sunami was boiling with rage – Grandpa!! You can’t do this!! Eli never did anything wrong!! He’s not even a criminal!!
-But of course he did and he Is Sunami- Twist barged in without even asking- Getting into our business…Don’t you actually remember how he destroyed the terraportal to the deep caverns? He’s been messing up into everything…A decision had to be made...
-SHUT IT!!! –Eli said while rapidly grabbing his blaster and shooting Burpy as fast as he could. Burpy mega morphed quickly and fire blasted out of him. Blakk evaded him but the shot had made the forest burn.
-Escaping will not be possible my dear friend- Said Blakk while he grabbed his blaster- Right now, try to run…If you can...
Blakk shot out a Tempesto whom flew into the air, and was just about to hit Eli when a large curtain of water protected him. Sunami was right in front of him using her water powers to evade the giant Ghouls that were shot.
But…We all certainly know this wouldn’t last long...Sunami suddenly felt her heart stopping. The curtain of water vanished into thin air. Not long then…Sunamis hair had turned white and her skin had begun to crack like a broken vase. Nevermore…The curtain of water disappeared falling down just like Sunami who fell to the ground with her eyes wide open.
Eli rushed down to her and lifted her head. He knew exactly what was going on…Sunami was part water…Fire affects water. Even the smallest flame made Sunami loose herself.
-SUNAMI!! LISTEN…THIS- Eli was about to try waking her up when a blaster stood on his head. Eli looked around witch was the greatest mistake of them all. Twist was aiming Loki right at him. Elis teary eyes reflected the darkened Ghoul as twist pulled the trigger.
-Game Over; Shane- was the last words Eli heard as he fell down lastly hearing Sunamis breaths and then…Only darkness.
