Description
I really can't be the only person who did this...I have nothing but praise for Bethesda's Fallout 3. Really they were the only company I could see doing a successful 'nextgen' fallout game. There are of course always things to gripe about... like ungrateful bums who can never get enough handouts. (Though now that I think about it, that is kinda realistic...)

Thats evil enough by itself!

They're just karma engines. That's all. But the time I was planning to give water, he was killed by ants outside megaton before I could do anything!

I think the random deaths were my fav. part of the game. I forgot all the times I found one of the traveling merchants killed out in the wastes.

Its a cheap way to gain good karma, just keep giving them water and you'll keep getting good karma.

Wow, what a waste of 250 caps. give him a purified water, then step back and mezz his ass. "Hey, bum. welcome to the game show, Sprint to Paradise Falls!" and the one water you gave him cancels out the negative karma for being a dirty slaver

I only do it to get good karma for my good guy .
I once with a other character gave Micky at Megaton water, and went into Megaton, then sometime later went out and Micky was dead D:. I presume it was that random "death" bug, 'cos i found once also Walther dead in megaton D:.

Yeah alot of characters will die from random happenings in the wastes. I found so many of the traveling vendors dead out there from giant scorpions and the like.
I really found it hard to keep my Karma from being good even when I tried... so killing bums was my best way of keeping my neutral karma in check, hehe.

Hehe xD.
That reminds me, Crow (that caravan guy) has lost his guard and brahim :S. But hes still alive. But once i saw a caravan guard run away near Nuka-Cola plant, only to vanish around the corner. And she would defently have run into a robo brain, yet the robot wasnt attacked, it was weird. She looked very much like Crow's guard.
Also, After i have micky the water and came back out, i thought first time it was the water that had killed him lol.

i like this game, at first when i was told that it was an rpg... i was very unconvinced. When i found out it was made by bethesda... i was a little more open... the elder scroll series was awesome. When i play it, it feels like a survival game while at the same time feeling like an rpg...
I learned a few things while playing...
never sell ammo, sell the weapons if you want... but never the ammo (you never know when all of your weapons are broken and you pick up a weapon and have no ammo for it!)
and you can get bottle caps from nuka-cola

If you have any interest in RPGs at all I'd really suggest playing Fallout 1 and 2 as well. They are kinda cryptic to play but a wonderful experience. They feel a lot more like a survival game then Fallout 3 does to me, mostly because health and ammo are sooo much harder to find.
Glad you liked the game though. Not that I had anything to do with it

Honestly if you can get on the net your computer should be fine. Fallout 1 and 2 were made back in 1997. Can always check the system requirements on them too if your worried.

the fallout makers shoudl have had like a city built by the hobos that you can only find if you give water to them lol

0_0 Omg! In games like that or Black and White I usually have two save files, one where I do everything 'erfect' (incase there are in game consequences later) and one where I just have fun with it. I want to play the new Fallout... I've played the other two and they were fun ^_^ Is it more like the original or B.O.S.?

I tried playing an evil character in Fallout 3 and found it just really hard to do. The setting is so bleak as is I felt horrible anytime I did anything "bad". The game really depresses you after a while.
Fallout 3 is much more like the original games. Just a more visually fleshed out setting. I really have no big gripes about it.
