Description My Tokyo Marui BIOHAZARD 5th Anniversary SAMURAI EDGE Barry Burton Model.

Model details:
SAMURAI EDGE 2001 Limited Edition
Kai-C/S.E.-03
Barry Burton Model
Serial No. 05029

This, from what I have been told and read about, is thee most sought after airsoft gun in the world. There were only 500 of these models made exclusively for the Japanese market and is the 3rd and final gun in the limited Samurai Edge series. The limited series being the Chris, Jill and Barry Models. The Standard Model wasent limited as such as it saw a much larger production run, they probably count a few thousand made but due to collectors and some used beyond recognition it is now considered limited.

I found this gun on eBay.com for the lovely price of $750. A lot of money I know, but considering how highly spoken and rare it is, it's either pay $750 now or double that later.
This set is complete and besides very few light marks on the card case it is near enough mint condition and includes everything;
BIOHAZARD 5th Anniversary Pin
M92F Users Manual/History
SAMURAI EDGE History
Cleaning Rod
Paper Targets
50 .20g BB's

Of all the Samurai Edge airsoft pistols, this one is the most interesting to me simply because of its general design. I still can't figure how anyone would be able to find an M1913 rail long enough to cover both the dustcover of the gun's frame AND the bottom half of the compensator, and I'm curious about how long the barrel itself is. The barrel length on a standard 92F is 4.9 inches, but this looks to be quite a bit longer.

If I ever get my hands on an unrailed 96F, I'd seriously consider getting it modified to look like this.

The barrel itself on this model is exactly 5 inches and the length of the compensator is 1.9 inches. The rail is 100mm.

If you ever manage to modify a 96F you'll have to post up some pics

That'll be years down the road. Been out of work for over a year and still looking, so...no, new guns are not a priority at the moment. But I appreciate the info. That's a pretty big compensator for a pistol, though.

I think that the challenge (besides finding a competent gunsmith, none exist in my area) will be finding an unrailed 96F, as Beretta has seemingly replaced it with the 96A1. This model has a rail, but it looks a bit awkward as it juts down a tad and would probably be difficult to find a holster for it at the moment. Would probably have to find a used one in good condition and go from there.

Haha thanks but I think I'll be keeping it . I've wanted this gun for years and to find one in mint condition is a dream come true. It wont ever be used in a skirmish, it's too expensive and rare to risk any damage to it, plus its now the centre piece of my Resident Evil collection
