Description
We love our chooks.They used to be battery hens and had their beaks clipped and had scraggly feathers around their necks.
We brought them so Mum can maintain her childhood farm ideal.
Anyway they are fantastic layers still and have such lovely personalities.
They love being picked up and having cuddles and getting their backs scratched

Chickens are so amazing! I raised them for 13 years up until this last year when we had to move. They're my second favorite animal.

We usually have 3 former battery hens at any given time. They at the moment keep our little boar goat company

Unfortunately a fox came and killed our lovelies. Foxes are terribly resourceful and if determined will find their way into even the most seemingly impregnable cage. I suppose at least the foxes got something out of it all.
