Description
<< Part Three || Part Four || Part Five >>
The start that morning for Khan and Simon had been an early one. They wanted to get to the castle in good time to allow them both to rest up for the next day's hard ride. The large stallion didn't exactly enjoy being woken as the human liked to wake him -with a poke and a shove-, but he was rather enjoying the journey. He missed his mate and their foal more than anything, but he tried to keep himself focused on the trail ahead to keep himself from getting too upset. Something which seemed the same for Simon. He stayed quiet for the most part, only muttering to himself when he was getting pissed off at something, or saying the odd few words to his trusty steed when the loneliness started to catch up to him. It suited both of them, and they were rather happy.
But being so used to traveling alone, and having so far to go, it seemed strange when the crumbling castle actually began to loom over them. By mid afternoon they were closing in, and Simon had slowed the stallion to a walk to take the last stage of their journey a little steadier. In the distance, shapes of horses and riders could be seen milling round where people were meeting. Simon was probably a little too far in his thoughts, and he missed Khan suddenly looking rather alert. If he thought back on it, he would have made sure he was paying attention, but nothing could be done by the time he'd noticed.
Up ahead, a woman and her horse had turned onto the track they were riding, and Khan didn't like that one bit. How dare someone have the nerve to get in his way. He was determined to roll in on his own, have everyone looking at only him. He wanted to make an entrance, because he was special. Well, he supposed he could still make that entrance.
While Simon was obviously not paying attention, the stallion tensed and lowered his head, gaze narrowing. His walk quickened until he got to the optimal distance away from the other horse, and then he quickly snatched the reins out of his human's hands and bolted, strong, lean legs pushing him forward. Simon only had time to curse to himself before he had to try and grab the reins back and try to stay on. He tried his best to stop his mount, but there was no point. He had an idea in his head and there would be no stopping him when he was like that. He tried to call a warning, but as they passed, the mare the woman was riding seemed to get pissed and shot forward too. Well, it might work as an ice breaker to talk to her later. Simon glanced back at the thought to check if she was alright, and instead of having stopped to watch and call him an idiot, she seemed to be following, and even stranger, seemed to be laughing about it. It was a weight off his mind, but it only wound Khan up even more. He would not to made to look bad by some mare.

Hope I didn't write your two girlies wrong. I just liked this idea instead of them simply riding together. Khan does like to wind people up. <3 I forgot what anatomy is with this one. Please excuse that.

this is awesome
I think they all look so great c: I envy your human skills, as always. And of course, Khan and Coquette look lovely as well. <3
I can definitely see these two continuing to be competitive. I'm sure someone as handsome as Khan is going to catch Ms. Whore's Coquette's eye. Your story was awesome, though. No worries. I'm really excited to see how these guys get along C:
Thanks so much for drawing my pair. <33333333
