Without a doubt...one of my favorite violent games to date! I would dare say that in it's own way...This game goes hand in hand with the almighty DOOM <3 as far as my fondness goes for it <3
I just defeated Splatterhouse 2, ( something I could NEVER do as I child! ) So upon my re-visit I felt inspired to place my "DA persona" into the role of the hero as I often enjoy submersing myself into these kinds of games <3 GET INTO IT!
It's just so sweet! It hits all my favorite fantasy/action aspects!
-HORROR THEMES AND OLD SCHOOL GORE! :3
-BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF HELLISH MONSTERS!
-KICK EVIL'S ASS BECAUSE EVIL SUCKS!
-SAVE YOUR DARLING GIRLFRIEND FROM THE FORCES OF EVIL <3
-KICK MORE EVIL ASS!!!
GAWD IT'S SO DELICIOUS! It gets my testosterone pumping to play this! It's so satisfying to pick up a giant club and bash a monsters brains into the ground!
I must say however...
My favorite installment is Splatterhouse 2
but my favorite "terror mask/hell mask" is the first form from Splatterhouse 1 !
If you haven't played this Namco CLASSIC....get off you ass, find it and play it! It makes you feel like such a beast <3
on an ending note...Rick Taylor kicks more demon ass than Dante ever will

I would love to see Rick beat the crap out of Dante! And yes, I agree with everything you said on this! I loved Splatterhouse 2 the most. The remake of 2010 was awesome too!
