Hi guys! How are you?This is something I found interesting to draw during my visit at São Paulo. Man, what a city! It looks like when you're from...I don't know, Naboo, and you go towards Coruscant lol, there's so many things to see!
Anyways, here it is:
There is a quarter in São Paulo called Liberdade (Liberty), with a huge concentration of japanese descendants. I saw a man eating at a restaurant. It was so serene compared to everybody else, that I decided to take a picture of that moment, and once I'd be back to my city, I'd draw that scene. The result is here

Quando estive na Liberdade ha alguns anos, só esbarrei com figurinhas undies e imigrantes rabugentos; até a atendente coreana da loja de produtos japoneses (!!) conseguia ser um poço de grosseria. Após algum tempo andando muito fula da vida, encontrei alguns "muambeiros"... colegas meus do RJ que não via ha anos, mas não deu pra tirar nenhuma foto bacana

You have a vary interesting style of painting. I can't tell if he's sad or just lost in his thoughts, which makes this picture all the more interesting.

This is where I think you've shot a wonderful picture. It's up to our interpretation whether the man is lost in his thoughts or sad or... whatever. The scene you've pictured is open to interpretation. Dare I say this the essence of art.

I thank you for that! Honestly I wasn't expecting that painting would put so many thoughts on people. As I said, I just found it interesting to shoot and portray right after, so reading all those comments is a very, very rewarding feeling.

Então...eu tava querendo atingir esse estilo c/essa pintura...ainda n cheguei no nível q eu desejo (vou ter q ler mt sobre Monet, Renoir e Sargent p/isso hehehe), mas deu pro gasto!

haha q isso, a vida é qm t ensina a ter esse "sight" hehe...o q eu faço é:
tirar fotos e ver livros e + livros sobre arte, artistas e desenho (q já vem c/toques básicos de composição), a partir daí é só trabalhar em cima disso até conseguir algo q lhe agrade...issé o + importante, vc tem q se sentir satisfeito c/o trabalho
E a foto, fez sucesso por aí? Matasse mta gente de inveja? hehehe
