Description
Being a Brazilian myself, it was a incredibly pleasant surprise seeing Rio at theters. An animated feature about one of our most incredible cities, directed by a native Brazilian, Carlos Saldanha. It was an amazing portrait of what Rio has to show, not only the good things. And it surely has some shots which will stay forever in our minds.
So, it's with a big pleasure that I'll post the first one of the Rio-related drawings. Blu.
A 3h30 drawing, watercolor pencils and oil pastels.

WOW! I really like this. I like how you captured Blu's expression. It looks really comical and shows a lot of sense of character in him. I like how you took his expression from both the posters for Rio 1 and 2. I don't really think you need to improve on this. It looks great. But I've always wanted to know what Blu is looking at, causing him to pull a scared face. It feels like i'm missing out on what he's looking at. It's not a BIG problem, but I still really like it. It captures the character in the way that he is known for and the 'goofiness' of his personality. Keep up the good work!

overall this is well drawn. Your Vision for this photo is all most there. Blu was perfectly drawn, love the face expresstion, love the shade's of color on the beak. the feathers are spead out to the way the expression is performed the background need's to be changed. the originality is awsome. i love drawing's done the old fashtion way it really show's off the arttist tallent. The technique: on blu it was perfectly. one thing need to be changed. the back ground need's to be compleated and changed to a lite solid color with some kind of paint, this would make blu stand out even more. the Impact is almost prefect make this change and it would give you all 5 star's.

Rio e a cidade mais bonito! As praias aqui sao magnificos! Eu nunca tinha visto o mar antes que eu viesse aqui. Agora, eu nao posso acreditar que eu vivi 17 anos sem ver isso maravilha!. Na verdade, eu adoro todo de rio e brasil e brasileiros! Brasil tem meu coracao! Quando voce vai ao Rio?

Eu estou no Brasil há quase dois meses, e eu já falo muito melhor do que eu falei na minha primeira mensagem para você. O meu português ainda tem erros, mas eu espero que eles são não grave demais.
