wow!! the shadows gave more depth to the veins in the leaves. the dramatic lighting gives it a mystical feel.

This is stunning!
I've been trying to look more closely at leaves and flowers in close up and I'm quite pleased with some of the results but if I'd managed something half as good as this I would be over the moon.
The texture and the pattern created by the leave is wonderful but then you've allowed the shadows to dominate the composition rather than going for a flat two dimensional piece that I probably would have chosen.
This has so much more than 'isn't nature wonderful' about it
