Description
Mattepainting used for an t-shirt artwork of austrian metalcore band SOLE METHOD.Brief was to create super-natural fantasy/dark lava landscape with feeling of illustration.
Whole scene was build from scratch with using textures (cgtextures.com),
tablet painting here and there & own 3d modeled rock formations.

Im not sure Im the right person to give a tips, but all I can say is use brush & think about what you paint and where you paint. Than check out photoreferences for color samples and overall effect. Also you can use recolored water waves & splashes to make it more realistic, thats it
