Description
Mattepainting used for an t-shirt artwork of austrian metalcore band SOLE METHOD.Brief was to create super-natural fantasy/dark lava landscape with feeling of illustration.
Whole scene was build from scratch with using textures (cgtextures.com),
tablet painting here and there & own 3d modeled rock formations.

Well basically... its like, the whole world circles around the Tower at the center.
Like your pyramid is the center of attention here. The lighting in the clouds making it look somewhat like a Safe place ... but deep down, we know, it isnt.

Yep, it took quite a while to do that, especially all that rocks.. but it was also a good excersise, even result isnt still 100% perfect

Hehe, at some point you just need to say "it's finished" otherwise you will drive yourself insane. And I guess you can only put in a certain amount of hours.

For sure, anyway this piece took definitely longer time I expected, but I dont regret, even I should work still on it now to make it better and better
