Description
A long abandoned artwork which i have finally managed to finish. I saw this particular screenshot from the Superman Returns blog #17. It showed Superman floating in the space, looking down at the earth. Basically the same idea like mine with different perspective. The costume has been updated to the recent Superman Returns version. I read somewhere on the internet that there is no "S" on the cape, so i didn't include it here.
Notice that the city background is similar to the one in "Soars" artwork, only this time i flipped it from left to right. It is also a 'reverse' version to the "Soars" artwork. Where as "Soars" depicts Chris Reeve's Superman "leaving the earth", this one is showing a new Superman descending from the sky. Kind of poetic huh?

Bravo....while many people are looking in theatres, waiting foir the first official poster to Supes new movie....when we got something just as good, even better. The coloring, the posture, the whole thing...awesome. And I saw your tribute to Chris Reeve, I see what you mean about poetic...is that good thing? I dunno, cause in my opinion I still have doubts about Brandon Routh's ability to adhear to the legacy of Reeve.
And in the sence of perspective, I may be the only one but this also reminds me of one fo the posters for Spider-Man 2, where Peter is standing on top of a builiding whith his mask off: Diiferent poses, different characters, different subject matter (Marvel vs DC! 3 vs
returns...LET'S GET IT ON!!!), but it kinda looks the same from the perspective view....but maybe thats just me

personally i'm still not sure about Routh either. Up until now the best Superman was and is still Chris Reeve to me
good observation, in fact this pose is basically 'mimicking' the one by Spider-Man 2, like you described.
thanks for dropping by!!

excellent pianting dude, love how u did the bulidings below, but unfortunetly this image is missing one detail, Superman has another S on his cloak which is yellow, but it's a minor, still having that S wud majorly fill in his cape detail, not that the pic don't look ace already!
keep it uppy

the buildings below is a portrait, as well as the sky. The 'S' insignia is not included in the new version of the Superman movie currently in progress. Basically this Superman is based on the new movie thanks!!!

Lovely. The only thing I noticed is that the angle of his head suggests (to me anyway!) that he's still looking up at the sky - I was wondering if that was deliberate. It makes me wonder if he wants to come back...
