I know this concept for years and each time is always cool.....but of course when it is well done...as in this case...where there is a precise visual logic sense/story! Tecnically is pratically perfect indeed i don't see any issue relative blend, this say you worked a lot each single edge and hairs and this was important here, otherwise the fake effect was sure.
I like the fact you used the same tone color....in this case a warm tone of the red family: table, hands, hairs, skin, the foam of the borders of the coffee, the ink pot. About the ink pot why are you using a pencil and not a feather? 
the work stay on high level and the dd for sure is usefull here, because teach something.
The frame created by the various things around: hands, coffe etcc...add the beautiful final touch.

Hahaha, i honestly thought about the ink pot, but i thought it was pretty nice in the composition and decided to leave it there... let's consider there are other things around the table that the artists may have needed to use with the ink pot.
