Your niece looks in nearly every shot as the living image of the youg Katchoo.
...and some of your shots do deceivingly look like being inspired by Mr. Moores covers or lineart (definitely not vice versa - I collected SIP for some years now. They're nearly as old as your nice is, having started by 1993 *g*):

I'd never heard of Terry Moore or 'Strangers in Paradise' and your links didn't work unfortunately but I googled him and if I'm right Katchoo is the blond girl isn't she? I can see a certain resemblance there to my niece but I can honestly say I've never seen his work before. Maybe you could try sending me those links again to see if they would work this time? Very interesting indeed.

Well, whatever... Yep, Katchoo is the Blonde (even if she's about 10 years older than your niece is now at the start of the series)

Mr. Moore incidentially is famous to use in his drawings the same "whiteout-techniques" you did in your shot "winter" quite frequently. That's what finally made me asking. *g*

I had a look at those and wow - you're right!! The shot with the leaves as well! It was quite spooky although I've never seen his stuff before, never even heard of him. Thanks for putting me onto it. My niece was fascinated to see the images too - I'm going to call her Katchoo from now on!!

Go and get some SIP one of these days. Unrelated to the looks of Katchoo it's one of the series that truly deserves the term "graphic novel" instead of comic. You might enjoy it.
