So CUUUUUUUUUUUUTE! One of those little girls that, if you saw her on the street I'd want to just sweep her up and huge her just for her sheer cuteness.
This would be, of course, just before I was handcuffed and tossed in a police car for hugging a stranger's child out of nowhere.
In any case, she's lovely! And, as always, the eyes, you capture the eyes so wonderfully. Even with dark brown eyes, you always capture texture and color beautifully, but with these lighter browns, with her almost-green highlights, you've made them glow!
This little girl's a sly one -- with a mournful expression like hers, you just know she's begging for SOMETHING. "But WHYYYYYYY? What if I promise to eat all my vegetables? But it's not FAIR!" She knows that she looks like a little princess, and she's milking it for all it's worth. We see through you, young woman. And it doesn't matter one bit - she'll still get what she wants.
What's causing the lens flares here; is there snow or ice in the background? That's the one question that keeps nagging at me.

No lens flare - I added the texture but I'm not sure how much I like it and if it really works. In your case it obviously doesn't - I'm still on the fence about this one.

I think it works until you look at it very closely. To me it looked like sunlight flaring from falling snow. It definitely increased the impression that snow was falling heavily when you took the picture. I had to look very closely to realize there was no snow visible, and that the source of the 'flares' was uncertain.
It's one of those things that works very well, but doesn't stand up to scrutiny. To my mind, this is an undecidable issue. Do you value the first impression more, or do you value a solid scene, so that even close scrutiny reveals no flaws? Entirely situational.
My first impression of this shot was absolutely incredible. If I hadn't looked so closely, I probably would never have known to ask that question.

I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to reply my friend. I have had such an enormous backlog of messages and I've been so busy. Thank you as always for taking so much time. I agree with you entirely on the 'flare' - I don't think it works that well in this situation.
