The Palace Capital

Previously known as Vidar's Breadth. The Palace Capital exists as a crater hole carved out of the cheek of the highest mountain peak in Orion's Threshold. From it's opposite face, this large opening in the side of the mountain is invisible to those from the ground or anywhere else who are not eye level with it's spectacle. Several rows of fang-like stalagmites and stalactites covet the cave within for safe keeping, while the inside stretches far back for at least a mile before the inside of the cave meets the floor. Several larger stones that have been converted into thrones for the Constellation of Stars are seated at the center back, angled to overlook the clearing as Astraellians move to and fro. Several other pathways and tunnels lead off to different parts of the territory, though all Astraellians make The Palace Capital their central location to congregate. The Crown of Constellations makes their den in a medium-sized den below the seat of the thrones, which is guarded and only those authorized may enter.

The Mirror of Luneris

Previously unknown to the former Aramournians, as it's passage way remained hidden under thick foliage and fallen stones, a massive lake three miles wide in circumference sits as the crown jewel at the peak of Orion's Threshold just above The Palace Capital. Two massive claw-like stone formations curve upward towards the sky and bend inward towards the lake, holding it's still surface like a jewel in it's grasp. The lake is believed to be a freshwater spring, depositing as waterfalls down the sides of the mountain and creating a shimmering curtain in front of The Palace Capital's main veranda view.

The Mirror of Luneris is believed to be a portal to the Stars, as it reflects the moon entirely when she has reached the highest peak in the sky. During full moons, ceremonies are held at the Mirror and those seeking to mourn the loss of the departed may come to pray and connect with their souls here.

Fates Tears

A unique ledge leading out from the east of The Palace Capital resides a platform entirely hidden by one of the many waterfalls that cascade off the mountain from the Mirror of Luneris. Locals refer to this location as Fates Tears, for it is nearly sound proof and one of the very few places the walls don't have ears. Legend stipulates this is also where the incident of the Red Wolf occurred.

Moon Opal Mines

Located in the northern reaches of the lower mountains of Orion's Threshold resides the Moon Opal Mines. These tunnels were carved for centuries by the ancestors of Astraellis and are utilized to harvest precious stones and materials used to forge their many decorative body-wear and other landmarks within the territory. Only those authorized to work in the mines may enter, for it can be very dangerous if not properly trained how to navigate the tunnels.

Depth's Crater

To Aramourn, Depth's Crater was given the misguided name of The Pit. Now with Astraellis in control of Orion's Threshold once more, the true history of such a dark place has finally now come to light. The Depth is a symbol of an all-consuming darkness that holds an eternity of suffering and punishment for those who do not follow the guiding light of Luneris. It is said that all Astraellian wolves hold a bit of Luneris's Light in their souls, allowing them safe passage to Nox's silk in the afterlife. For those who fall from that light, or were never born with it at all, are subject to cleansing in the pitch blackness of Depth's Crater. There, those who are being punished may either find their light again, or be consumed by The Depth as Luneris intended. Astraellians pray it's the former.

The Judge of Astraellis usually takes up residence at the mouth of the crater, and oversees the punishment trials conducted here. It is up to their jurisdiction how long or short one's time is spent in Depth's Crater. A restoration project is underway as Aramourn previously used Depth's Crater as a fighting ring, leaving the walls stained in several layers of blood and decay. Efforts are still underway scrubbing the walls of the filth and trying to remove the smell of death.

Obsidian Forest

Previously known as Alcoran Forest, Alpha Sirius has renamed this area of the mountain foothills as the Obsidian Forest in his image. This forest is where most of the pack's food sources originate, and the Archers and Rangers spend most of their time during the night. Miles of tamarack and pine trees lace the foothills filled with luscious foliage and vibrant wildlife. The edge of the territory stops at the beginning of the barren plateau that begins where the treeline ends. This is considered a no mans land, as there are no places to hide should anyone try to infiltrate the mountain, or anyone try to escape.

Sylvian Meadow

Previously known as the Meadow of Eir, Queen Freya took a liking to this timeless meadow of wildflowers that stays in bloom year round in a small valley high in the mountains. She renamed the location as Sylvian Meadow, a place where members of Astraellis are encouraged to relax and spend time with friends and loved ones during their free time. Oftentimes, partners will come here to consummate their relationships, as the tall flowers provide ample privacy and a nice, comfortable atmosphere.
