Description
It is told that Apollo fell in love and chased a nymph, Daphne, daughter of the river god Peneus. Following a spirited chase by Apollo, Daphne prays to her father, Peneus, for help, and he changes her into the laurel tree. The laurel has then become a sacred symbol to Apollo.

This may be the last of my Greek series.
I have drawn numerous Daphne and Apollo artworks since I was seven. Only two survived (one from high school and this one). Some selected works I had as a kid were lost for unknown reasons. Most were kept in a portfolio. Unfortunate really that my older Greek myth-inspired works may now be lost forever.
So this may be a good finale to a short obsession.
