Description
Finally I can show some buildings from my previous job.It's a russian isometric city project that reside here [link] (All materials are copyrighted, bla-bla)
From the top to bottom of the picture:
Habitable buildins
Two lesser shops
Office buildings
A church
A hotel
A school
Architectural style was taken from real instances of soviet and post-soviet references.
This is not a true pixel art. Though the base is hand-made, but there were aftereffect works like applying gradients and soft brushes. It has been done for the sake of better appearence.

I've made them in photoshop. The buildings are a bit big for OpenTTD, I'd like them smaller.

I love this! Now I want to play Sim City or Anno 1602, but then, these games don't look as good and aren't half as detailed as your graphics.

It would be nice if you describe your after affects more. Something like photoshop, filter effects layered? on top of the pixels?

Sorry, for such a big delay with a reply. I hope I didn't make you angry.
Buildings were pixeled with straight pixel technics. Then I applied gradient to both lit and shadowed sides. On the lit side I used light-yellow gradient to make the upper part of a building more bright. It was on a separate layer with Linear Dodge filter with appropriate transparancy.
On the shadow side I used darkblue or violet gradient, most density on the lower side. It was on a separate layer with Multiply filter applied.
Sometimes I added noise to the roofs.
Sometimes I added gradients only for windows.
Other than that no other effects were used.

Wow, this really is High-End Pixelart. These buildings would really fit to the scale and style of www.pixelplaza.de , I think. These buildings really aren't true pixel art? They kind of look like "true" pixel art, though.
