Love the life in this and the splash of colour on the bird is genius

Thank you! It can be difficult deciding when to stop a drawing (or painting, this one being a bit of both) to keep the strokes looking energetic and loose. I can't take credit for the colour, though — mother nature is responsible for that one (though I obviously picked a species with colours that I felt would complement the design well).
