Description World peace is a promise that is still unfulfilled
Lives are still shattered and blood is still spilled
Man as of yet, does not value all life
There's nothing of love in our lord Jesus Christ
I look around me and see nothing but sorrow
I keep holding on for a happy tomorrow
We are what we are because of what we've been taught
When there's enough on offer our souls can be bought
We have no integrity and we have no shame
We are the reason; yes you're who's to blame
Life will forever be a sad comedy
Until we can find love for all that we see

I love it Most of the poetry I ever wrote was to a girl that I liked so I have none. I need to dedicate some time to writing some things because I do have a love for literature

This is well-written and hard-hitting. I hate idols and how people trust in worship what doesn't even improve the world. I agree with you about blaming the world for causing their own problems. Being willfully-ignorant is like 'bliss' to this generation.

Anyway, an imaginary person isn't even worth our time.

don't know bout that. a lot of the the time an unfounded promise is all that keeps a lot of us from being total beasts.yeah they in themselves may not make things better (two crusades, the current terror attacks in different countries) but they were basically part of each society's historians and moral authorities in older eras. yeah we maybe should have outgrown the blind worship bit in the modern era but it due a lot of the time to rapid cultural changes and fears of the future. so i don't blame peeps who go back to these 'idols'. they all give a promise of a certain future....wow that was long.
