Description
Yes, I am using terms from Code Lyoko.Anyway... I don't really know what this is, actually... I found an old file on my computer, and I decided to finish it. I remembered that it had been part of my VOCALOID!Danny series, and then I remembered that the piece was inspired by 's beautiful piece here: [link]
I suppose this is just what I think happened after that... Yes, I totally copied the pose, because her art is beautiful and I am still absolutely flattered that she would draw such a beautiful piece based on a idea that I had... It still makes me feel all tingly inside!
Anyway, in case anyone is interested, I have a non-colorized version of this pic (with just regular colors; I could NOT, for the LIFE of me, decide between regular coloring and the red...) in case anyone is interested in seeing it.
As for now, I shall leave it at this. Good heavens, I feel like such a poser now, like a kid trying to copy a masterpiece... But I wanted to do this just because it was on my mind and I know I haven't really done VOCALOID!Danny stuff for a while... And people apparently really love it? WHUT??? XD
OH, and that binary in the background? It actually says stuff... Mainly just some of the lyrics to "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku", though... Funny. This piece doesn't actually have a song to go with it...

hahaha I'm so glad! Yeah, it's kind of the first place that I've actually heard the term... I think I've totally fallen for Ulrich, too. XD

Ulrich acted pretty derpish to me. He was cute, though. I loved Odd, though.
Did you hear about that live action series they had planned for Code Lyoko, though?

hahaha No doubts there... Ulrich was... INTERESTING, to say the least... Like, he's got some serious skills, but COME ON! He kept a diary?!?!? XD hahaha
Odd is one of those guys that, no matter how annoying, selfish, or arrogant he is, you just gotta love him... Him and his walking stomach. XD hahaha
I have, and to be honest, I'm not sure I'm terribly excited about it... I blame my past, which has seen it's share of "cartoon-to-live-action" films... And I can tell you: they have never worked out as long as I have seen them. I hope this one is good, though... I need more Lyoko. ^_^ So, I figure I'll probably give it a chance... I generally like to give a show a chance of at least 3-4 episodes in, given that in the beginning, they're still just trying to get the show started and whatnot...

Yeah. I liked Ulrich, but there was a quality about him that I just didn't like for some reason. I don't exactly remember, though...
I love his outfit, too. And he's just so adorable how he never stops eating. And his cute quirky lines.
I've seen some screenshots of the live action. I don't really like how Aelita looks, though. She looks rather masculine when I imagined her to be very feminine. I have noticed that, too, about the cartoon to live-action thing. (Avatar the Last Airbender would be a great example.) Sometimes, cartoons are just meant to be cartoons.
You're right about the 3-4 episodes before judging it. So far, what I've heard of, it doesn't seem that promising. But it can still turn out as a great new series if given the chance.

hahaha Yeah, it might have been his moodiness... At least, that's what it was for me... when he DID get emotional, he did it in a weird way, or at least I thought so... I almost got the feeling that he was acting like a girl would in cases of emotion and romance... Which is probably why they had to beef up his being a guy in other areas, like athletically... XD hahaha
I have to admit it: I actually thought Odd was a girl from the first time I saw him in the pictures... And again, when I heard him speak for the first time in the first episode... Just, the way he would stand or talk or dress, while fun, made me think he was a girl... XD But I quickly realized my mistakes... But yes, his outfit and quirky lines get me every time! XD
I definitely thought that too; it just looks like it was kind of fan-made when it came to re-creating the characters' looks... AND THEY TOTALLY MESSED UP ODD!!!! ODD, WHY????? And none of the characters looks (and probably won't sound) the same... Which is why, in my opinion, it is harder to make a "cartoon-to-live-action" successful. You could do it vice versa, though, because then the characters' animated looks could be based off of the real people, and the voice actors could remain the same, but not in a cartoon-to-live-action scenario...
OH GOSH. YOU JUST... You just brought up "The Last Airbender" movie... I refuse to talk or even acknowledge that such an abomination could exist on this earth unless it is to make my point about that series-to-live-action thing. That's the perfect example... I was severely disappointed, if only because they tried to fit THE ENTIRE FIRST SEASON OF THE MOVIE INTO TWO HOURS. But I suppose that in order to balance having such a beautiful masterpiece in the world (the original series), they had to go and make a movie out of it... Bleh.
In short, YES. I TOTALLY AGREE. The medium is chosen specifically for the purpose of the show or the movie; it works best that way, and that is why transfers to other forms of media do not work. Given the intricate plot points and mini-stories that the Avatar group had, a TV series made more sense because it created a better sense of time and gave the creators a chance to really develop the show...
Oh gosh, I could go on about this forever. I should do what I usually do for shows that I love and write an analytical journal about it! XD
Very true; which is why I try to muddle through the first bit... Especially because the introduction to something new can be quite scary... I thought that the characters looked very weird at first (in the original CL series), but now I've grown to love the style! ^_^ And that definitely took time... ^_^

Lol, right. He did seem to act like a girl at some points. Or just childish.
I think I remember some scenes where he just made fun of Sissy. I sorta felt bad for her. I mean, yes, she is a jerk sometimes, but she really did like Ulrich. And didn't she just want to be friends with them at one point? It's sorta depressing if the person you like really hates you and makes fun of you every time you try and hit on him.
Odd is quite like a girl, but he acts like a quirky boy. Which makes me like him more. I just find adorable.
Yep, and Code Lyoko would be a very hard cartoon to turn into a live action. Pink hair and spikey yellow-purple hair is not something that will happen naturally in real life. And if it's not done correctly, it will end up looking really bad. On the other hand, if the directors just change the hairstyles, the fans will throw a fit.
I never even watched that movie. My sister and I had the idea of going to the theater and making a list of everything that sucked, but in the end, we decided not to waste money on a bad movie tickets. And 50 sheets of paper. I don't know what's going on in their mind, but they're making a second movie, too.
The development for Avatar was a huge part of the series. You get to see how the characters all change and grow. The development was also what set Avatar apart from every other show on television. The characters were dynamic and they mature like everyone else. I would write a review, too, but no one would read it.
First episodes often suck. It's when everything is introduced. If it goes too slow, then the watchers lose interest. If it goes too fast, then everything has a rushed, unnatural feel to it. And then there's the problem of fitting all the information you need into a limited amount of time.
