I mean, the holographic wings kinda defy logic but if, say, humans had actual wings, we'd need a wingspan of about twice or thrice our body size to gain lift (in current gravity and body build)

True, we would. But it's funny how often drawings of angels or birdmen have relatively small wings. Not much bigger than the arms. I always preferred absolutely massive ones that dwarf the bodies of their owners...like this.
