Description It started as a stream prompt almost 6 months ago, "Angel of (Compulsive) Order"
And I came across the abandoned file, just a sketchy mess with a hint of figure, so I decided to finish it up

It looks cool
I like it~

Wooooooowwwww
This might be the best character design you've done yet.
It seems almost like a tattoo.

You know, I was actually thinking of this as a tattoo the other day
I really do consider it one of my best

Ominous but cool, really like the colors you used.
It reminds me a bit of the Judge's astral form from IM

Amazing design and concept.Β
I never thought that black and yellow could work this well (another indirect lesson to the list, thanks ^^)

thank you ^^

then allow me to expand on the lesson - while black and yellow works lovely to convey hazard/danger (think warning labels and poisonous creatures), this one in particular leans more towards black and gold. Thing is that gold is usually more about texture and metallic appearance, but a bit of searching around will get you some solid shades of gold. It works especially with dominant black, since the gold's natural brightness needs almost twice or thrice the amount of dark color to balance it out (it relates to color theory, if you'd like I'll tell you more)

One of the main uses of black and gold, at least in design and marketing, is to give a feeling of luxury, prestige, and sometimes royalty to a brand

Noted. Of course I would like to know more about it! ^^

I just understand the basic (white and black are universal for anything,
opposite colors like green and purple or red/orange and blue/cyan work well
in some way...Am I right? Or did they taught me wrong?) xD

But the thing is much more related to the emotion you want to insert around it,right?
(I said ''emotion'',but it doesn't imply that is just about ''emotive'' things, because the black color
can represent something abstract or ''down'' like death and doubt?
Hope I'm not being too much nonsense).

You're not wrong, and I don't think you canΒ be, because color is very much a cultural thing when it comes to it's meanings. There's also a matter of taste, to an extent, although there's technically science as to why certain combinations work and some seem to hurt your eyes.

There's an important distinction between contrasting/opposite colors and complimentary colors - with the latter being used to balance pairs of colors (this is according to one specific color theory that deals mostly with complimentary colors rather than opposite ones, such as red and blue. I think these usually have narrative/symbolic significance, like how a lot of opposing characters in shows and movies are depicted as red and blue)

Complimentary colors are pairs of primary and secondary color. The secondary matches with a primary that wasn't used to create it
So, the pairs are:
Green (yellow/blue) + Red
Orange (red/yellow) + Blue
Purple (blue/red) + Yellow
there's actual optic-science behind the combos, because each of them has the other's 'after image'. if you stare at a red block of, say, Red and then look to a neutral color (white/gray) you'd see the same shape, but in Green. So, when you put Red and Green blocks next to each other, Red would project a Green after image on the Green block, and vice versa.

In addition to that, there's a balance-ratio to each pair, which is affected by the color's natural brightness - the brighter/warmer it is, the more of the other color you need to use :
Green/Red - 1:1
Orange/Blue - 1:2
Purple/Yellow - 3:1

this means that Green and Red have the same radiance and need equal amounts to be balanced
since orange is brighter than blue, it has stronger radiance and require's twice the cooler color around it for balance
Yellow is practically shining, so you'll need three times as much purple for balance

There are of course nuances of tone, saturation and stuff, and some colors that just work (like purple and green) and some that just don't, or only other certain circumstances (like, only in pastel tones, but not in higher saturation)

So, if you take the Purple/Yellow balance into account, you can see how it applies to Black/Gold, as Black is perceived is a "cold" color (despite not being one, but it's more associated with the spectrum of colder colors, as opposed to white; although as I've mentioned, it's quite a cultural matter)

And this has been a crash course in basic color theory
Hope it's not too confusing while just in text with no actual colors ^^"
